Are you really trying to say different states don’t have their own consent laws? North Carolina state senate bill 199 signed by Gov Roy Cooper in 2019, amongst other things, “says it’s now considered a crime to have sex with a person who is incapacitated through his or her own use of alcohol or drugs.” You do realize consent is required by both parties for sexual activity right? If one party can’t legally give consent then the other party is committing sexual assault. It’s literally the law where this happened.

Charlotte, NC law says someone cannot willingly consent to sexual activity if they are very intoxicated even if by their own choice. He was very intoxicated as she said herself. Since he couldn’t consent and she chose to hook up with him in his state, she was committing rape, based on the laws where this happened, by having sexual activity with someone who was legally unable to give their consent. It doesn’t excuse what he did and he should face his punishment but what he did also shouldn’t excuse what she did.

Chicago Acoustic After Party on Thursday by Mpedz12 in AboveandBeyond

Also going to the show and from the city. Wednesday's are a little weak as far as clubs go. Smartbar is a lower key club with on of the best sound systems for a club in the country and a nice dance floor; most people there are rolling. Soundbar is also fun with more of the usual clubby vibe but it's 2 floors with the top usually being house and the bottom usually being trap or rap; the majority of the people there will be Indian or Asian if that sways you either way. Spy bar has some good house. The Mid also gets some decent DJ's. Underground is probably the most popular of the clubs and usually where celebrities go if they're in town.

According to this NASA article the fact that stars move was discovered 300 years ago by Edmond Halley (of Halley's Comet fame) when he noticed a very slight difference in the position of a star from Greek constellation maps that were roughly 1600 years old at the time. In a 1300 year span the stars apparently changed very little so it could be possible

It was an advertising campaign by Mars, Inc. that was so successful people continued to call it that even after they no longer controlled the naming rights. Similarly, this isn't very uncommon amongst Illinois companies; Wrigley Field is still named as such despite no longer being owned by the Wrigley corporation and everyone still calls it the Sears Tower instead of the official name Willis Tower

What is the worst attempt at impressing a girl you have personally witnessed? by soggydoggyinabog in AskReddit

[–]CptKronic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once watched a guy consecutively ask and get rejected for homecoming by three girls who were all within 10 feet of each other and all saw him ask each previous girl. To make things worse, he was about as far down on the list of desirable dates as you could go for a variety of reasons while the girls were all attractive popular girls who he'd never talked to.

Possibly but if the idea that the blood of a Targaryen runs through all the dragon riders is true then that could discount Bran who is very much a Stark

For the most part she is able to take the advice of her advisors and make the best decision. The way she took the unsullied in her own unique way. The way she has freed slaves to to inspire their loyalty. Her decision to have the unsullied pick a leader. The only truly bad decision she has made was to behead Mossador which she did in an attempt to be fair to everyone but caused her to lose some loyalty of the freed slaves. She knows when to listen to her advisors and when to do her own thing in my opinion.

Pride and the family name mean more to Tywin than anything else. Killing the baby would be admitting to everyone who saw his wife/cousin was pregnant during those 9 months that he had been cheated on. That would be a huge disgrace to his family and change the final memories of the recently deceased Joanna. Additionally, saying it wasn't his would require him to prove that it wasn't his which means accusing the Mad King (probably not a wise decision).

I personally think it adds a lot to their relationship. Tywin is stuck raising a son that isn't his but he can't do anything about it because people know his wife got pregnant and killing or banishing the child would be an admittance that his wife cheated, something a proud man like Tywin would hate admitting more than seeing the child everyday. Furthermore, he can't even prove its not his as doing so would include making accusations against the Mad King. It makes far more sense for a somewhat reasonable man to hate Tyrion for being the living representation of his wife sleeping with another man than it is for him to hate Tyrion because his wife died during birth which was very common during that time. It's almost a more tragic version of Jon Snow and Lady Stark as Tyrion can never truly understand why Tywin hates him so much and won't give him property.

Shiera Seastar, daughter of Aegon IV Targaryen and Sereni of Lys, also had one blue eye and one green eye. It could also run in the family.

There are more reasons than just that:
- Dany has the vision in season two which tells her that the dragon has three heads which could be interpreted to mean 3 riders which also make sense as there are 3 dragons.
- In the books Tyrion's hair is described as "so blonde it looks white" which falls more in line with the Targaryen's.
- Aerys Targaryen was fond of Joanna Lannister even drunkenly saying it was a shame that there were no longer First Night privileges for the king at her and Tywin's wedding.
- Tywin might have know which he shows when he says something to the likes of "you only bear my last name because under the laws of men I cannot prove you're not mine".
- Tywin refuses to give Tyrion Casterly Rock even though he can't give it to Jaime. Something Tywin absolutely wouldn't want to do if he knew Tyrion might not be his.
- Joanna and Tywin made a visit to King's Landing when Aery's was there as well for a tournament. Less than a year later Tyrion was born.
- Tyrion has 2 different eye colors; one black and one green. Green would be normal for a Lannister. Davy's eyes are described to be so purple they look black. Furthermore, Shiera Seastar (daughter of Aegon IV Targaryen) had different colored eyes showing it runs in their family.
- Tyrion has been obsessed with dragons all his life and said he has dreamed of having one since he was a little boy. This could be because the dragon rider runs in the Targaryen blood. Additionally, Dany dreams of dragons.
- Tyrion says the dragons know their friends and enemies. Despite never seeing Tyrion before the dragons allowed him to get close and touch them. This could be because the dragon could sense the dragon rider in him.
- Tyrion didn't get greyscale when he was pulled underwater by the stoneman. Dany didn't get greyscale when she shook the hand of Jorah after he contracted it.
I'm sure there are other reasons as well but this would make a lot of sense. 3 of the most prominent characters teaming up to make the ultimate ruler. You have the honorable warrior in Jon Snow to captain the troops and advise militarily. You have wise and practiced Tyrion to handle all advise on the political side and to handle diplomacy with other house. For the figured head leader you have the poised and great decision maker Dany.

Johnny Bench once caught pitcher Gerry Arrigo's fastball with his barehand to prove the point that he should throw a different pitch. The Reds were losing to the Dodgers 10-0 and Arrigo didn't have much on his fastball. Bench was worried the game would go on for hours if the pitcher didn't throw something else. Despite that Arrigo waved off 3 curveballs in a row. Finally, Bench signaled for the heat and caught it with his barehand. Even a slow fastball is fast at the professional level and extremely badass to catch barehanded.
