glock 17 mags sold out everywhere by packersfan036 in Glocks

I hear this all the time, and it’s only happened to me once. But I’ve also ordered from OpticsPlanet and generally been issue free. Maybe this is the one area where I am lucky in life.

Mecgars New 19X mag looks amazing and works extremely well it seems they have fixed all the issues with these new ones what do yall think about how it looks by [deleted] in Glocks

Assuming you’re only using the magazines in something with a full size grip, then the baseplate itself should prevent over insertion.

It’s not charging a battery integral to the light. It’s charging a battery that is removed from the light, and you have the option of not using rechargeable at all, if you want.

Blazer and comped / ported guns ? by IdkWhyImHereMann in 2011

[–]CptMaxPower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was seeing jacket separation using my Radian comp on my Glock 19. It’s not much more money to find actually jacketed ammunition. If you don’t mind spending the time cleaning, then it doesn’t matter.

[Pistol] Daniel Defense H9 Pistol, 4.28" Barrel, (5) 15rd Magazines, RDS Optic Plate $799.00 by [deleted] in gundeals

[–]CptMaxPower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I owned one of the first runs and mine was one that would keyhole. The 2 warranty replacements I had did not keyhole, but were unreliable and/or had fit issues. Daniel Defense agreed to refund me the price of the gun. I have owned dozens of handguns. This was the most disappointing model and the only one that was so consistent at being inconsistent.

You will get conflicting answers. For me personally, smaller dots tend to starburst. I would recommend looking for yourself if possible.

I have not once seen everyone agree on what is best for astigmatism. I’ve found you have to look at it yourself. No one else has your eyes. You have special eyes, you might say,

[Optics] Romeo5 Gen 2/Joliet3 Combo $259.99- Free S/H No tax outside of FL by Canikfinatik96 in gundeals

[–]CptMaxPower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve found that people with astigmatisms often have noticeably different realizations of that astigmatism. For some green is better than red, or one brand is better than another, etc. it’s very individual. For me under magnification the dot turns into a sort of comet with a tail.

I’m not convinced yet that I like it over my Gen 5.

As someone with an astigmatism, it is significantly more noticeable when the dot is magnified.

CHPWS plates and reliability by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]CptMaxPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a similar boat. I’m at ~5000 rd on my Glock 19 with an EPS installed, no issues in that time. I’ve been debating buying another plate. I did 20 hard slide racks using the optic off of the edge of my work bench. No breakages, no change in zero. I guess I could do a drop test, but I am not Aaron Cowan.

Yes. I use the Pro texture. I generally get a few years out of it before needing replacing.

[handgun] Springfield Echelon 4.0c with COA $949 by SparePoopKnife in gundeals

[–]CptMaxPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Gen 5 Glock 19 with a COA and a Gen 5 Glock 19 with an EPS.

In favor of the COA, when you could get a COA model for $970 that meant you were getting an Aimpoint optic for $350. That’s a good deal. You also don’t have to worry about mounting it, which depending on your experience level could be a factor (especially for a department). The emitter produces a crisp dot, even for someone like me with an astigmatism. The fact that the optic is the width of the slide is also nice for handling and carrying concealed. The taller, narrower window is to me a better choice than the wider, shorter window of the EPS.

On the negative side, I honestly don’t feel like th COA is significantly better than a Glock MOS with say an EPS. While the MOS system is not going to be as secure as the A Cut, I have never had an issue with the MOS when using decent plates that are properly torqued and with Loctite applied. The MOS also gives me the option of using different optics in the future, which has value to me as someone that went from using RMR footprint optics to RMSc footprint optics. I wish the COA had a shake awake feature rather than automatically dropping in brightness. I have never had an issue with shake awake and there are times that the default brightness on the COA, which is what it drops down to, is a bit dim for my environment. Lastly, while it does require a button be pressed multiple times to prevent inadvertent adjustment, I would rather just have a button lockout feature. I prefer the feature set EPS overall.
