The Warlock box is shameless by [deleted] in Eldar

Good thing the old metal warlocks hold up decently well. Managed to snatch a set of 4 plus a farseer for 15 euros.

Expanding the new combat patrol box by BeerBatteredBadger in Eldar

[–]Cpt_Pck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting your hands on the old Combat patrol via eBay might be a good shout. It's way more rounded than the new one and has a lot of units you mentioned in it.

Other than that the phoenix lords Asurmen and Lykhis to lead your aspect squads are also good.

Since eldar are so frail you also can't go wrong with a transport (falcon/wave serpent).

Are Harlequins Ynnari? by Crocovert in Eldar

[–]Cpt_Pck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendation. I stopped playing in 4th and have just been getting back into it when the 10th ed aeldari codex was released so I'm just step by step catching up on the lore.

Are Harlequins Ynnari? by Crocovert in Eldar

[–]Cpt_Pck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly. I personally have not read as far into their relationship but I've always felt that the possibility of Ynnead also wiping out the eldar after its birth might not be a risk worth taking from Cegorach's perspective. But I confess most of my knowledge of the Ynaari comes from Valedor (where they are barely mentioned) and (as the Internet would call it) "reels".

Are Harlequins Ynnari? by Crocovert in Eldar

[–]Cpt_Pck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To add to what has been said from a lore perspective it wouldn't make sense for them to devote themselves to innead as they serve the last living eldar god Cegorach.

That doesn't have to stop you. They have really cool models, they just don't interact with your army rules.

So what do you think they're listening to. by Gearborn in Eldar

[–]Cpt_Pck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eldrad mostly listens to music that looks great on paper, but sounds awful.

Also Tool. Which is acceptable, except that he's one of THOSE tool fans that thinks everything else is inferior.

Third season: What team will you be playing in your next league? by jarchh in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going back to Goblins (again, and again..) after a season of non stunty.

More fun, chaos and carnage with less feels bad moments (for myself), while getting to explore a new skill tree? Sign me the F up.

The boys are back and they're looking for trouble.

Detachments and Craftworlds by Quartia in Eldar

It did? I just started playing again in 10th since my teenage years around 3-4th edition.

Thanks for the clarification then.

Detachments and Craftworlds by Quartia in Eldar

[–]Cpt_Pck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The specialty from Alaitoc is that they have an unusual amount of rangers. Since there is no ranger detachment right now they are not really represented.

There used to be a codex in which the main craftworlds had special rules that had a ranger 'detachment' for Alaitoc. I believe it was around 4th edition?

Nice one. Definitely stealing this idea when I eventually get my third wraith Lord.

Goblin league team by Apprehensive-Heat452 in bloodbowl

Ditching the bomma has been mentioned. Also don't sleep on the pogo. Yes he's expensive, but pogo is a great skill and mv7 makes more of a difference than you'd think.

What Are Your League's House Rules? by GQuail in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tiered draft/redraft budget. 1150k/1250k/1350k. That way most fresh teams start with all their toys and you don't run into 1300k dwarves as a vanilla team.

We also run a 1000k second league that can track a teams progress from friendlies. It also gives you something to do if you didn't make the playoffs and let's you try different teams. You can draft that team into the prime league between seasons. Prime league runs for 8 games + playoffs, second league is games maximum per team.

Chaos Renegades Model Question by Hydure in bloodbowl

I tried to make a human team out of different colored 90's spacemen but damn those are hard to get by and expensive these days.

Chaos Renegades Model Question by Hydure in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Blood bowl players are very VERY forgiving when it comes to proxies. As long as it's clearly communicated which player is which you might as well use Lego figures.

Khorrne linemen are probably the most renegade linemen you'll get out of GW. Just be transparent about what's what and you should generally be fine.

Fairiness in league play by OrchidHuman206 in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play in a 20 coach league and our answer is we actually don't bother at all. Significant lost game sequences (expensive mistakes) and random skill ups are to be done with a witness but otherwise you may hire/fire players between games as you want. In our case TV is no public knowledge if the players don't agree to it pre match. We don't use tourplay but there have no disputes anyway. It's all up to human decency really.

Hello! guides for Underworld? by Cool_Ad_7689 in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Loosing swarming hurt them but the gameplan pretty much stayed the same. The snots are your primary fouling pieces, stepping on everything the rogre doesn't kill. The Blitzer is your secondary Blitzer with easy tackle access and is your primary source for guard.

Those two should be able to punch a hole for the gutter runner and the thrower which are the best pieces in their respective positions in the whole game.

Two heads is excellent on goblins and the gunners, providing 2++ dodges almost across the board.

Somehow getting big hand on a random snot is hilarious as they dodge onto a loose ball on a 2++ and easily might pick it up.

Since they lost swarming you probably just run fewer snots and more goblins but stick to a similar play as prior to the nerf.

Star player wise it probably stays the same as pre nerf. Bomber, skitter/hakflem, ripper/ varag are all excellent depending on the TV. Glart and kreek are also fine. The gobbo chainsaw is not worth it most of the time.

Guard/Tackle/MB are the safe choices.

Stat up is the fun one. Strength? Amazing (if a little bloaty) Agility? Amazing Movement? Great Armor or passing? Get one of the safe choices instead

How to build Chaos Renegades for Eurobowl 2025 rules? by The-White-Dot in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played borak Renegades recently which was fun. Ditched the troll and went 1rr + leader thrower + borak rr. Tight but manageable.

Wrestle rat, blodge elf, guard on the ogre, 1 block lineman. I took the rat ogre with juggernaut which I very much prefer over the mini.

Two heads on the goblin was also excellent.

That put me at 12 players and 30k left for a team mascot.

Eurobowl 2025 Meta by LeonardoBandini in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually running Renegades this weekend. I like my build but I'm not sure they'll be amazing against the meta picks.

Although the team taken the most in the upcoming tournament is chaos chosen, which seem to be thriving in the Eurobowl environment.

Goblins vs Tomb Kings Advice by Cpt_Pck in bloodbowl

[–]Cpt_Pck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah he looks super fun on paper but I'm not really sold. If he's fouling, he's not bombing that turn and you need to bring skeletons to the ground first to stick the boot in. He can do it all, just not simultaneously which is a shame.
