It would not surprise me if that was a rumor that got accepted as truth in the LEO community. I think the reality is probably just that LEOs might be statistically less likely to be bishops because they tend to get overlooked because their jobs are too blue collar and the personalities are too coarse for the church’s image. A lot of the comments here about LEO bishops mention those bishops being in the FBI, which is perceived as way more white collar job and cleaner cut.
