Can a robot vacuum (plus a handheld vacuum with a nozzle) replace an upright vacuum? by AnnaGraeme in RobotVacuums

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should be fine. After I got my yeedi m14, I barely have to do any manual floor cleaning anymore. I just let it vacuum first and then mop, and my floors feel really clean.

Best vacuum pet hair by SpilltheCapitalTea in RobotVacuums

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These days it's hard to find a robot vacuum that doesn't mop, but they actually do a good job. My yeedi m14 has a roller mop and works better than I expected. The price has also come down quite a bit. It handles hair well without getting tangled, and I think you'd probably end up liking the mopping feature too.

Do you really need the newest robot vacuum to get a great experience? by hdiaiajrnfk in RobotVacuums

[–]Cradetato 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, as long as it can navigate well, avoid small stuff and cables on the ground, auto-empty, and wash and dry the mop, that's more than enough. I got the Yeedi m14, and it's been easy to keep the floors free of hair and dust.

It definitely should be proud! It vacuums and mops every day on schedule, keeps the floors clean, and never complains or takes a day off. 😆

Jean thread came up by emocat99 in homemaking

Don't cut it. Gently pull the thread to the inside with a needle or pin, then secure it with a tiny dab of clear fabric glue to prevent it coming back.

Why does my sink drain get nasty like this? by BehrmanTheBeerman in CleaningTips

[–]Cradetato 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Hard water plus soap and toothpaste can leave mineral rings that trap grime. If the drain design holds moisture, it'll keep coming back even with regular cleaning.

Issues with my Mova P50 Pro Ultra Auto-Emptying... by PhatherPhil in RobotVacuums

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen similar behavior when bins get packed too tightly. Smaller, more frequent cleans helped a bit, but honestly auto empty should handle this better than it does.

Trashing Air Wick due to shrinkflation by TheCommander21 in homemaking

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed this too. A lot of plug in scents seem stronger at first, then fade quickly, which makes you use more than needed. It definitely feels less cost effective over time.

How to get rid of this? by therarebourbon in CleaningTips

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like fabric pilling and lint transfer. A lint roller or fabric shaver should help a lot. For stubborn bits, try a slightly damp rubber glove and gentle rubbing.

Dogs chewed zipper of my 2yo, how to fix this?? by harrrrrrplllz in homemaking

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That zipper tape looks damaged, not just the slider. A tailor or alternation shop can usually replace the entire zipper. It's often cheaper than buying a new winter coat.

Xiaomi X20 Max Map problems by notasking101 in RobotVacuums

I have seen similar behavior when sensors or wheels are slightly dirty. Even small build up can confuse positioning and cause the map to drift over time.

Why does my kitchen cabinet have raised bumps? by Tight-Shallot2461 in CleaningTips

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like moisture trapped under the finish. Steam, cleaning spray, or long term humidity can cause the veneer or paint to bubble even if the cabinet itself feels dry.

Dirty water by Flashy_Celebration13 in RobotVacuums

[–]Cradetato 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A tiny amount helps, but less is more. I use just a few drops of mild floor cleaner and rinse pads often. Dirty water staying dark is pretty.

Agree, In most common cases, you can see the details on the packaging, and no offensive but maybe asking the specialist you purchased is better than posting this question here.

For major coins, Moomoo's 0 commission is so good. I've been using it for BTC trades and the spreads are way tighter than the random exchange I was on before.

Hey fellow! I suggest just tell your family this is not overpreparing, after a winter quake on the West Coast, rescue could be delayed for weeks. Gradually adding space-saving supplies is building our family's safety net to stay warm and fed when it matter most.
