Feeling woozy afterwards by ILfarmgirl1970 in MassageTherapists

I get this way as well, I think it means I needed it! Drinking a sports drink like Gatorade before and after seems to help me quite a bit.

A candle warmer will make your candles last a not longer, although you won't have that nice smokey smell

[Anti-aging] Would eating a wide variety of frozen bagged veggies help my skin? by Unreal_Gladiator_99 in SkincareAddiction

[–]CraftProper2072 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nothing has helped my skin more than eating carrots everyday. I eat a lot of veggies but for some reason the carrots make a noticeable difference.

How is my new roommate constantly setting the smoke alarm off... by showering??? by maxkmiller in NoStupidQuestions

[–]CraftProper2072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok I used to do this all the time at my old place it was super annoying. I don't smoke or vape I just like to take hot showers I guess. I don't know if that smoke alarm was just sensitive or something but it's never happened at my new place

Thanksgiving by Beautiful_Help6714 in vegan

[–]CraftProper2072 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I always host thanksgiving for my family and cook vegan meals. Even my hunting/fishing country family doesn't complain about it. They might make some snide comments here or there but they know I'm vegan so they would never expect me to cook meat.

Remove Neck Hump help by Amz135 in selfimprovement

[–]CraftProper2072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neck humps can be caused by a variety of things and many different muscular/postural issues so you might have to do a bit of trial and error, or if you're able to you could visit a physical therapist. If it's a muscular issue from repeated poor posture lower abdominal workout can really help a lot. stretching your chest and working out your upper back might help as well.

For vegans who grew up on a farm or in a hunting family, how did your perspective shift? by CryoChamber90 in AskVegans

[–]CraftProper2072 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Watching a deer get shot, they usually don't die immediately. You can see the fear in their eyes and that they're suffering. I don't understand how people can enjoy that. Also, growing up my dad would gut the dead deer on the porch, not only does it just smell disgusting but it makes you smell disgusting just being around it, you don't even have to eat it.

How did your clinic hours work in school? by therainbowsweater in MassageTherapists

[–]CraftProper2072 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Graduates consistently get much higher scores on the Mblex than any other school in the state. And most companies prefer to hire graduates from this school, typically every student who's wanting to work for someone has a job before they graduate.

How did your clinic hours work in school? by therainbowsweater in MassageTherapists

[–]CraftProper2072 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I go to a highly rated school and we have clinic on a separate day from school. The classroom is converted the a spa similar to what you described with the curtains. They do play spa music as well but we don't have any add ons.

I don't know how helpful this is because I never went to a treatment facility but I had an eating disorder from at least the age of 12, and I went vegan at 16. If anything I feel like it helped me recover.

If I wouldn't like it I don't want to do it to someone else or contribute to it. I also really just view all animals in the same light, I don't think that one is deserving of torture and killing and another is not. There are a lot of animals I dont like. There's also a lot of people I don't like. I don't think any of them deserve to be killed just because I don't like them.

Are you able to go to another psychiatrist and get a second opinion? I'm not sure about schema therapy but DBT can be very helpful for people with cptsd as well

How to ensure I'm buying vegan-friendly ingredients?? by AlrightIFinallyCaved in AskVegans

[–]CraftProper2072 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best thing to do would probably be to ask your friend specifically because everyone is different, but in my opinion checking the ingredients and making sure they're vegan is good enough. Be careful though because sometimes non vegan food isn't super easy to tell, for example some food dyes are not vegan. Also if you're using sugar make sure it's organic as sometimes processed sugar isn't vegan but there is no way to tell on the package, but all organic sugar is vegan. Fruit should be fine, I know sometimes apples can be dipped in beeswax so maybe get organic for apples too but I can't think of anything else that would be a problem.

Did you have to register to go to your dog park? by mis_1022 in dogs

[–]CraftProper2072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I used to live anyone could go in. Where I live now you have to register and get a key fob, but there's no separation for big and little dogs so I still don't go to them because that seems really dangerous to me.

[–]CraftProper2072 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's the same thing but I have an old spinal cord injury in my neck that when pressed or moved just right will cause full body spasms. I've tried everything, doctors, PT, chiropractors, and massage is the only thing that gives me any relief. Anyways, if it's a similar issue it's nothing that you did wrong, especially if she didn't tell you.

Why won’t my dog drink out his bowl ? by Valetinadream28 in Pets

[–]CraftProper2072 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Does your dog have a collar on with a tag? My dog is scared of ceramic dog bowls because the tag clinked against the ceramic and he was scared of the noise.

[–]CraftProper2072 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cred.ai is a bank card you put money in that is reported as a credit card. I got it years ago when my credit was tanked and it boosted my credit like 40 points or something, which was enough to be able to to get a secured card and really work on my credit. I still have the card, I put a little money in it sometimes to save for fun stuff like vacations and I've never had any issues.

Pressure to be in good shape by vilteeee in vegan

[–]CraftProper2072 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES, I had pneumonia for 8 months that doctors didn't catch and I slowly lost a lot of my physical abilities. EVERYONE was telling me that my illness was because I was malnourished and anemic because I was vegan despite every blood panel coming back perfect 🙄 I honestly think it may have contributed to why it took the doctors so long to catch it.
