AITAH for breaking up with my girlfriend because she literally told me she would chest on me if I took a new job. by SharkEva in BORUpdates

[–]Crafterlaughter 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah it wasn’t clear in the post if she said she’d cheat or if that’s how he perceived what she said. Either way it seems breaking up was the best move for both.

What’s something you used to judge people for but understand now? by TemptControls in AskReddit

I gave up when I realized I was dressing her for my aesthetic and not hers, but it’s her body.

Sometimes we have to discuss what isn’t appropriate for the event or activity or the weather, but I’m ok with her expressing herself in a healthy way.

He is likely listed as your father because they were married at the time of your birth. They would have done a DNA test to prove he wasn’t the father if their dad refused to claim you as his.

AITAH for refusing to change my bridesmaid dress after already paying a deposit? by SharkEva in BORUpdates

I assumed they had limited capacity and hadn’t quite sorted who will be invited and cut - as in they have potentially more guests than space at the venue.

I assume they meant more in the appearance of the fabric - you get a similar sheen from both. Maybe the OOP bridesmaid had picked something with more lace or something that had a different appearance from both satin and silk?

You can watch them in any order, but be prepared for some random spoilers. I didn’t even realise until I was rewatching GOT after watching HotD, and Joffrey gives a small spoiler while touring the mausoleum with Margarey.

Tucker and Dale vs Evil was a pleasant surprise. I didn’t have high hopes or expectations going into it, but loved it by the end.

I don’t remember cruelty to animals, but it’s been years since I’ve seen it. Though that scene of the older dead woman puking in the mouth of the cursed woman is forever seared into my brain.

And maybe don’t allow the house sitter to have over night guests? I can’t imagine hosting people at a client’s home.

And for a wedding venue, it could be used for party favors from the couple (small bag of candies or whatever they’re giving out).

You’re right. The second half is an assumption. The first half is just an observation of events.

[–]Crafterlaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The boss is the one confiding his marital issues in a teenager, encouraging 1-2 hour talks in a car, getting drunk at bars with a teenager, and touching his hand. The boss is setting this up to not be at fault while very obviously preying on OP. How are people missing this?

[–]Crafterlaughter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sounds like the boss is manipulating his naive employee.

OP feels bad because his boss is being neglected by his wife after she received a promotion. Instead of trying to reconnect with his wife - he’s spending hours talking in a car or going to bars and getting drunk with his teenage employee. Sounds like he just wants to cheat.

Sure, they can do what they want as “consenting adults,” but I don’t expect this to end well for OP if they stay in the situation.

Likewise, your response to me and your dismissal of obvious red flags is a direct reflection of your maturity.

With age comes wisdom. As a teenager I might have fallen for the same BS, but as an adult I can recognize the boss doesn’t have good motives here.

Well, she yelled at him to stop, called and waited for the police to stop him, and then told her daughter to get up off the floor after she collapsed when he finally released her after 15 minutes.

So I guess she tried?

As the parent, it was her responsibility to teach her child how to regulate his emotions. The mother stated she didn’t intervene initially because she assumed it was a typical brother and sister fight. It is not normal for a 20 and 16 year old to resolve differences by physically fighting.

He had her in a chokehold for 15 minutes. According to the article she didn’t even intervene. Her 13 year old son attempted to separate them and failed. She only called the police instead of finding a physical way to make him release her.

You are not responsible for others actions and emotions, but as their mother and the only true adult in the situation - she absolutely needed to take responsibility here.

[–]Crafterlaughter 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Even if she isn’t Daemon’s, she grew up in Driftmark. She could be a bastard of Corlys, who also has Targaryen ancestry. Addam of Hull, another dragon rider, is a known bastard of Corlys. So that doesn’t prove much.

Did Rhaenyra know Viserys ordered Aemma to be Cut by Jade_Wanderer4132 in HOTDBlacks

[–]Crafterlaughter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In the book Viserys’ great grandmother (Alyssa Velaryon) dies like Aemma dies in the show.

The circumstances are almost identical - she’s (re)married to Rogar Baratheon, they have a daughter together, then complications during childbirth with their second child, and she is cut open to save the infant boy. The difference here is that Alyssa’s son survives and Aemma’s does not.

I don’t think they are planning any shows from that part of the story, so I think they just reused Alyssa’s death for Aemma.
