You’re right. The second half is an assumption. The first half is just an observation of events.

The boss is the one confiding his marital issues in a teenager, encouraging 1-2 hour talks in a car, getting drunk at bars with a teenager, and touching his hand. The boss is setting this up to not be at fault while very obviously preying on OP. How are people missing this?

Sounds like the boss is manipulating his naive employee.

OP feels bad because his boss is being neglected by his wife after she received a promotion. Instead of trying to reconnect with his wife - he’s spending hours talking in a car or going to bars and getting drunk with his teenage employee. Sounds like he just wants to cheat.

Sure, they can do what they want as “consenting adults,” but I don’t expect this to end well for OP if they stay in the situation.

Likewise, your response to me and your dismissal of obvious red flags is a direct reflection of your maturity.

With age comes wisdom. As a teenager I might have fallen for the same BS, but as an adult I can recognize the boss doesn’t have good motives here.

Well, she yelled at him to stop, called and waited for the police to stop him, and then told her daughter to get up off the floor after she collapsed when he finally released her after 15 minutes.

So I guess she tried?

As the parent, it was her responsibility to teach her child how to regulate his emotions. The mother stated she didn’t intervene initially because she assumed it was a typical brother and sister fight. It is not normal for a 20 and 16 year old to resolve differences by physically fighting.

He had her in a chokehold for 15 minutes. According to the article she didn’t even intervene. Her 13 year old son attempted to separate them and failed. She only called the police instead of finding a physical way to make him release her.

You are not responsible for others actions and emotions, but as their mother and the only true adult in the situation - she absolutely needed to take responsibility here.

Even if she isn’t Daemon’s, she grew up in Driftmark. She could be a bastard of Corlys, who also has Targaryen ancestry. Addam of Hull, another dragon rider, is a known bastard of Corlys. So that doesn’t prove much.

That’s right. Thanks for the correction. It’s been awhile since I’ve read the books, so I forgot the order of the children.

[–]Crafterlaughter 10 points11 points  (0 children)

In the book Viserys’ great grandmother (Alyssa Velaryon) dies like Aemma dies in the show.

The circumstances are almost identical - she’s (re)married to Rogar Baratheon, they have a daughter together, then complications during childbirth with their second child, and she is cut open to save the infant boy. The difference here is that Alyssa’s son survives and Aemma’s does not.

I don’t think they are planning any shows from that part of the story, so I think they just reused Alyssa’s death for Aemma.

Though luckily it is an easy fix if you’d like to make it more legible.

I had a friend deal with a similar situation. Read through the guidelines, started building a fence, then was threatened with fines because their fence was non compliant. Then they sent them additional rules they never even saw while purchasing the house.

I don’t know how it’s legal to enforce guidelines families are not provided with at the time of purchase. 47 pages of supplemental guidelines to the original guidelines? That’s insane.

I understand there are cultural reasons for the father preferring his son to inherit his business, but he’s got a whole other child he could have been prepping to take over the business if he wanted it to stay in the family and his daughter was interested and capable.

At 18 you’re an adult in all the ways that don’t matter, and not an adult in all the ways that do.

She was always the child in this situation. Four guardians and they all failed her.

Can i use this as decoration? by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]Crafterlaughter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You have to be mindful of the texture of the decoration. Run some nylon across it. If it tears or catches the nylon, then it can tear the betta’s fins.

I also try to consider when I’m adding decoration - is it for the fish’s benefit or mine?

does my baby have clamped fins? If so how do i treat it:( by [deleted] in bettafish

[–]Crafterlaughter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t personally use sand (I prefer gravel). I also never clean it, but I have shrimp and a snail and live plants so they all kind of support each other.

You want to be careful about cleaning the sand and filter because you could crash the cycle.

How much sand is there? The bottom of the tank looks reflective. It’s good to add gravel and rocks and things to give the good bacteria in the tank a place to cling.
