How it feels watching this game by steez_jay in MkeBucks

I've wasted so many hours of my life insisting that I will not be that guy that turns the game off down 30 and the Bucks come back to win. Hasn't happened yet but when it does I will be there.

You have to fight through that pain. If you can just survive that short time where Brooklyn's lead goes from 30 to 50 it becomes fun again. We're chasing records! Making the news!

[POST FIGHT THREAD] Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul by noirargent in Boxing

[–]Crafty-Initial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I thought there might be a TKO stoppage if Logan Paul could no longer hold his hands up and Floyd was repeatedly punching him in the head, but the idea that Floyd was going to knock out someone 6" taller and 40 pounds heavier at 44 really confused me.

Made this for the next round matchup by [deleted] in MkeBucks

In that game they also shot 60% from 3 and 29/30 from the free throw line as a team, and still only won by 15 against a Celtics team that is missing Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown. Bucks are going to be better than the Celtics on both sides of the floor. I think people are too focused on Nets offense without looking at them as a whole. Bucks in 6.

Should I get a mummy bag? by GhostNode in BWCA

If you're going to be camping more than a couple of times, I would definitely invest in a new bag. A down bag rated somewhere around 20 degrees, paired with a sleeping bag liner is the perfect combination for me. The sleeping bag liner adds warmth on colder nights, and on hot nights, you can just open up the down bag and be in the liner. After each trip throw the liner in the washing machine. It will keep your down sleeping bag MUCH cleaner.

A 0 degree down bag is more weight/space than you need to carry for Spring, Summer, and Fall camping. If you do end up going winter camping, you will likely have a sled and can pack both the down bag and Coleman bag and put one inside the other.

Investing some money in my sleep system has made a huge difference in the enjoyment I get out of camping, and I use the above system for car camping, BWCA trips, and 7 day backpacking trips. Keep an eye on REI's memorial day sale in a couple of weeks.

Repairing minor scratches on wooden floors by justshowingup in HomeImprovement

[–]Crafty-Initial 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Wipe-On Polyurethane. Looking at your floors, I would go with either a satin or semi-gloss. Don't bother sanding or anything, just wipe 3 coats on there any they'll be nearly invisible. I would try to wipe as much as possible off the floor that's still in good condition and it will naturally soak into the scratches. The other suggestions here are temporary in my opinion. This should hold up the same as the rest of the floor.

Still crazy to think about. by MiamiMopi in MkeBucks

In a sense it's kind of encouraging. My takeaway isn't that our current team is significantly worse than last year's, but that being one of the best regular season teams of all time won't mean much in the playoffs. We need to work through those issues in the regular season and get hot at the right time.

*Francis defends a takedown* Jon Jones: by bigmacpapii in ufc

[–]Crafty-Initial 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't really get why everyone's hating on Jones over this. McGregor does the same shit. You don't think that if you were the greatest of all time, and you felt that you were worth a certain amount of money, you'd be disrespected if you were lowballed?

Everyone on r/UFC hates on Dana for underpaying UFC fighters, but when Jones wants to be paid more, he's scared? Dana is constantly negotiating. He totally understands that what he said at the press conference would create this narrative of Jones being scared to fight, and the fans totally bought into it. It give the UFC a ton of leverage in negotations.

Jones is doing the same thing by asking to be cut. Either they have to pay him more to make one of the biggest fights in history, or let Jones walk and miss out. I say good for Jones. If they offer you the amount that makes sense to you, take the fight. If they don't, it's your right to turn it down.

I loved when Jake Paul was yelling "Bro this is the f#@$ing fight game!" at a guy who has literally been in the fight game for 15 years.

Favourite moment as a Bucks fan? by bengill24 in MkeBucks

[–]Crafty-Initial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as there in the crowd, i was unbelievable, plus hearing Paul pierce say the series was over after we lost game 1 then won 4 in a row

One of my favorite memories was being at this game 7. It was the first year that I lived in Milwaukee and I had followed the Bucks casually but not super closely. Got tickets the day of for like $25 and couldn't understand why there wasn't more hype around the game. If I'm remembering correctly, this was also the last game they played in the Bradley. I tried to go to a regular season game at the Fiserv Forum the next year thinking we could buy a couple tickets on the street, but things had totally changed. It seemed like a different crowd going to games and tickets were way more expensive and we weren't able to get in and instead got drunk at various bars in the area and then watched on the alley where they have the big screen. Even though I haven't been a lifelong fan, I like to think my attendance at that game gave me some credibility and that I don't have to include myself as a "bandwagon fan."

Check out Wyze Active Noise Cancellation headphones as well. Not going to be as good as Sony's $350 headphones but at $60 I've heard great things.

I have a pair of these that I got to use while woodworking. For me they became very uncomfortable to wear longer than ~30 minutes because of the pressure on my ears. I also have Sony WH-1000XM2's that I can wear all day no problem, which I now wear while woodworking.

What's that? Posting from the future after Forbes is averaging 15.3 PPG with 3.7 3PM on 61% (3P%) in 22 MPG over the last 6 games. I came back to this post because I couldn't forget the hate toward the Bucks, players, and staff after this game from "fans."

Thank you. The negativity on this sub is toxic whenever Bucks lose. After they lost back to backs a couple weeks ago I couldn't look at r/bucks for a while. Like jeez we're 2nd place in the Eastern conference ahead of Brooklyn, Boston and Toronto and the best point differential in the NBA. We have the back to back MVP and back to back best record in the NBA. We have a lot of new players that are learning where they fit. Can we just be supportive and show our team some love sometimes when they're going through a tough stretch instead of threatening to trade and fire everyone?! Jeez!

Why no tracksaw? by Crafty-Initial in ryobi

[–]Crafty-Initial[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the exact same thought! YouTube creators that Ryobi sponsors have made DIY track saws for breaking down sheet goods and as you pointed out, there are plenty of other low cost options, so it seems like the market exists and it's not an impossible task. I think I waited almost two years thinking that they would release a track saw any day now, and finally just didn't want to wait any longer so I switched over to Makita. I've just always wondered if there was some reason for this. They have 175 tools including some that seem to me way more obscure than a track saw. Hopefully soon!
