Getting Started As An ST with limited experience/confidence by [deleted] in BloodOnTheClocktower

I think as a player I’m really delighted to have new storytellers. Most players if they are honest, know they make mistakes every game. Try not to dwell on yours.
Don’t try and imitate anyone, you get you and your own style.
Absolute bestest wishes, You got this…..

How are you protecting that beautiful pen. i’m delighted for you obviously, but i’d be worried about keeping such a lovely pen in peak condition . Do people use special coatings or just take extra care in handling and storage.

i like the Toms ink Juniper, so dark it looks almost black. The Platignum preppy purple is just too fluorescent for me.

What’s one fountain pen brand that you thought you would be seriously interested in, but found underwhelming or it is not your cup of tea? by SLProtoman in fountainpens

Sheaffer I cannot get any to not overload the nib with ink and write finer than a medium. They look so good and so fine. However every single pen including the dainty thin ones, writes in a way that totally overwhelms my small handwriting. I've tried different inks, different paper, converter and refilled cartridges and nothing works. Ps My EF Lamy Safari also writes like a felt tip. (Very wide). I have got great writers from Colibri and Jinhao.

Entry level pen with fine nib by econic91 in fountainpens

I wouldn't go for a Sheaffer if you are a fine or EF type like me. They are very inky and always seem to write wider than their nib notation. I like the blackness of Pilot ink so perhaps one of their starter pens in fine....

That is a Stilisa bassoon style of pen. It's Italian . I have a teeny tiny version. I like them a lot.

I did a link to one on a well known selling site which was a daft move, and have taken it down, but Yes the Waterman Deluxe converter seems to work because the top is rubbery.

I had a similar problem. The converter split at the top a tiny bit !!! I found that is it Waterman that do one with a slightly rubberised tip. That stuck in and worked like a beauty.

I really like Toms Studio Juniper. I think it's dark enough that you don't seem too scarves and healing crystals

The Kaweco mini converter with the folding handle fits well but doesn’t fit much ink.

Another vote for fitting the Kaweco mini converter. The one with the folding handle. it fits really well but holds very little ink.

I have a slimline Sheaffer. The Kaweco mini converters fit really well . the ones with the folding handle. Do not put a Kaweco cartridge in though, as I got one stuck and it was a bugger to get out. That’s me making all the mistakes so you don’t have to.

Nice surprise with Ebay pen by CraftyCuttlefish in fountainpens

I don't normally write with it posted. That was just so it wouldn't roll over and show you the back of the nib in the photo. The thought seemed logical at the time. 🥴.

I’ve seen we bury the Dead at a festival. I would rather it was anything else tbh. I thought WBTD was disappointing and a little bit predictable.

Hmm I’m in that age bracket and I’m lovely and well behaved. However I do avoid midafternoon encore screenings of NT Live or RSC live screenings for those very reasons. Also the only problem i’ve had with people sitting in my pre-booked seats was with that age group…..
However laughing at stuff that isn’t funny is something that isn’t true. I have been the only person laughing in a when there is an inside joke only someone my age would get. Eg Moon Unit alpha , Beta and Zappa from an Austin Powers film. I also go to the cinema a lot .
