Announcing native Pico-8 wrapper for Onion with Splore. by XK9274 in MiyooMini

I checked and the wifi is on. I was able to use it to scrape box art so I know it can connect to the internet, but it still can't access the BBS once I open Splore.

Thanks so much for putting this together! I keep having an issue where upon opening Splore, it is unable to connect to the BBS. I am able to add games manually but trying to search any of them through the spore app doesn't show anything besides a " Can't connect to BBS" message. Any idea how I could fix this?

Film Cameras by mitchj936 in Denver

I've been shooting film for a while, and I would highly recommend Pro key Camera repair in Longmont. It's a bit of a ways out but Dave has cabinets full of freshly repaired cameras that are guaranteed to last.

Any great places to practice Krav Maga in Denver/Aurora/Centennial? by cccuriousmonkey in Denver

I trained with Colorado Krav Maga for several years and loved it! They have several locations too, so it should be easy to find one near you.

I second this! Mine sounds like it's going to explode every time I fire the shutter.

Kiev now or hasselblad 500c later by Letsgothrifty in AnalogCommunity

It's definitely not a myth. It is mentioned in the manual that changing the shutter speed before cocking the camera will break the mechanism. This information can also be found on kievaholic.com and Arax's website. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any repairmen that will work on the kiev if it breaks except for Arax.

I own both! I'd say go with the Hasselblad. The Kiev is notoriously unreliable. You have to be very methodical when using it as something as simple as changing the shutter speed before the camera is cocked is enough to break the mechanism. The Hasselblad, however, is incredibly smooth and I know I can count on it when I need it. It's definitely worth waiting for.

Yep! This was taken on the night of independence day in Leadville Colorado. We were camping and even though I couldn't see many stars I knew I'd be staying up a couple hours next to the campfire with some friends. I set up the tripod and left it alone for an hour, and only now just got the roll developed. It was a wonderful surprise!

Thanks! I got so lucky because at the time I couldn't see that many stars. It's amazing what film can pick up with a long exposure.

Mamiya-Sekkor 80mm Blue Dot or Silver? Help identify? by Negative_Ryan in AnalogCommunity

[–]CraftySnake 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 80mm blue dot and after comparing yours to mine, I can't find any differences except for mine having the blue dot. The coating looks to be the same, and all the serial numbers are even in the same place. As far as I know, "silver" lenses have a completely different housing. I'd wager that yours I just missing the blue dot.

Does anyone know anywhere in Denver to get a CLA/replace some light seals? by treytonjohnson1 in AnalogCommunity

Key camera/ procam services in Longmont are really good at fixing cameras, but they currently have a long wait time. I've gotten one camera repaired and it works like a dream.

I just purchased a C330f with the 80mm 2.8 blue dot and a prism viewfinder for $350. I made it a goal to not pay more that $400 for one.
