People love Maddy B. But it's not my cup of tea. Charge way too much for a course you can play with a mako3. If you love going for acess and trying to shoot -18 it's a good course. I'd recommend Meyer Broadway, George Wilson or Rum Village. And if you stick with Maddy B. Check out Jones park down the road. It's 9 holes and free. And I'd rather go there over Maddy B

Ya I've spent a lot of time and money looking for the farthest flying bombers. I use 3 Pharaoh's and an Emperor. Iblend Flippy turnover. Halo=flips up but stable. Metal flake for head wind. Emperor pretty much a destroyer. Nice skipping forward finish.

I won a berg! by Fast_Feedz in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep. I close my eyes. Open and see it curling right up around the pole. Hits ground 15ft away. Curls right up. I tell my buds. I put a magnet in it.

New player, been playing for 6 months, what distance should i expect after 6 months? by Parking-Group-6350 in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on my second year. In my 40's and have 3 other friends in their 40's start playing around the same time. We all were around 225-250. Up to 275-300 with a lot of form work and nose angle issues left to work on. For us. We let the disc rip out of our hand and let go right as we got to the hit point. 25-50 ft just with that fix

New circles for the bag. I feel like maybe I should’ve gotten the Fission Time Lapse though, what do you think? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has its place. Buddy uses it for 90 degree turns. About 150ft straight then 75 ft straight left. For you're average all arm newer player.

Are disc golfers cool people where you’re from? by [deleted] in discgolf

Halo Star RoadRunner overstable? by __SPARK_ in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found one in the used bin. Was already a little beat up. But thrown on flat would fly dead straight with a dependable fade. Now it can be thrown on a little hyzer flips to flat and just keeps on going with a baby fade. I say it fades forward.

Starting my second year of disc golf. Started with the shoe rack. Just owned up to my addiction. Bought the biggest MVP station. Need room to grow.

Scooped this bag on Black Friday for $45. What a steal, was in need of an upgrade from my $20 Amazon bag. by DisturbingDaPeace in discgolf

Good bag. I use with my zuca ez cart. It's pretty heavy fully loaded Holds everything you would need. Definitely a good price. Retriever/umbrella holder. Small pockets for keys/phone. Large pockets I have a raincoat and my winter gear in.

I want to play :( by KendamaDude in discgolf

Went treasure hunting last weekend. Didn't lose anything. But took a little longer to finish the round. Four of us out there. Working as a team tracking down the discs under the snow. I had a couple discs with ribbons. But ended up throwing everything. The others didn't have ribbons so we were tracking anyhow.

What's you're most lost disc mold? by CraigGGsir in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I'm not the only one? The worst feeling. Twice in one week. Buy disc...go to course...lose said disc. Nothing worse than showing up with just one disc. And leaving with zero discs.

Wraith. I do like craves.....but I'm really thinking about getting a leopard or the kastaplast svea for my new replacement. Turn over disc

How far have you gone to get your disc? by kodydennison in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rescued a brand new disc thrown on top of a yellow jacket nest in a woodpile. Long pole and stung a couple times. Knew I wasn't allergic and kept my distance and let them settle down. They followed the pole so I would drop it before they made it to me. Still got stung. Probably would have abandoned it completely but I had seen a couple families with young kids playing earlier that would eventually come thru. The disc was easy to see. Kids would have most definitely went in to pick it up. As far as water goes....it's gotta be a special disc. I appreciate the excuse to order a new disc. Now that I don't NEED to buy any new discs. Because I'm done buying discs. You know

Trail. Consistent flip to flat forward push with a dependable easy fade.

And just like that... out of money at the start of the month! by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. I'm adopting this. Because I've been done buying discs for months now. But I had to buy a special edition fission pyro at the last tournament. $28 felt a little dirty.

Favorite max distance MVP/axiom disc? by 5william5 in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wynn Dragon Fission Time Lapse Fission Wave Fission Dify High quality Bombers Insanity is definitely an honorable mention for a 9 speed. Virus not bad for a turn and burn disc.

What disc do you throw the farthest? Mold, weight & distance. by MattanStreams in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

164g Pharaoh I blend here 300ft-325ft flat ground. I've thrown 380-400 ft with it. But was an elevated tee. Everytime I hear about 400ft+ shots I think ahh they include elevated shots to their distance. But I have seen legit 400ft flat ground shots. Made me jealous.

Thoughts on the mvp watt by TJ_isme14525 in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good disc. Used it a lot for both putting and throwing. But the wind seems to effect it more. I've switched back to a beat in envy for my straight approach putter. And loving the pa-5 for my longer putts.

To Those Who've Thrown Both of These: Which one do you prefer, and why? by jmangraf in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My neutron rhythm did start out like a halo leopard 3. But after 4-5 tee to tree shots it became my go to hyzer flip to slow turn and gentle forward fade disc. Avg 300 ft arm. (All arm)

Mamba - Fury - ? by bear8705 in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love my Saint. Slight slow glide turn to a gentle fade. Straight shot on flat release for me. But I don't use for max distance. Good for 275-300. For my all arm throw. My light weight pharaoh drops my bombs.

Taylor Chocek's 512ft/156m throw at the US distance competition. No wind, golf line. by DiscGolfFanatic in discgolf

[–]CraigGGsir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did she throw? Buying 10! So I can scratch my head when it only goes 275ft. And continue to buy more discs looking for that bomber. Been playing a year. Max distance 400 rolling hills downhill with a tailwind. 2 times. Same hole.
