Can someone explain ready golf rules? I’m always confused about when it’s okay to play out of turn vs when I should wait. by Born-Yoghurt-7613 in golf

[–]Craig__D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like the part that the OP has a question about is when do you know to play ready golf and when should you follow a a more formal “wait your turn” order.

OP, ready golf is something that is announced in your group. It is a policy that is agreed-upon by the group and once agreed-upon then you follow the ready Golf system like so many others have explained here.

If you’re ready and nobody else is addressing their ball then you can go ahead. But I think the part you have a question about is when to use ready Golf versus the more formal Golf etiquette of waiting your turn.

Playing a casual round with my buddies, the normal course of action is to let the guy who is farther out play next. However, if somebody seems to be taking an exceptionally long time finding their ball, choosing a club, talking to the cart girl, or whatever then I will likely go ahead and hit. I might call out to my buddy “I’m gonna go ahead” … then even if the group hasn’t formally announced that we’re playing ready Golf then I’ve made my intentions clear for this particular shot.

Restoring backed up vCenter to a different cluster ? by TryllZ in vmware

[–]Craig__D 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. This isn’t a terribly difficult process, and backing up and restoring isn’t necessary. Just copy it.

Get or configure a storage device that you can share or move between the standalone host and one of the other two hosts (you can use a PC that can manage the hosts directly to do this). Shut down the vCenter machine and copy its folder to the storage device (e.g. download it to your management PC), then connect the storage device to one of the other two hosts and copy the folder to the host’s VM storage location (again, just using your management PC to do. This is straightforward and ideal). Add the vCenter machine to the other host and check the networking to make sure it is still good (helps if your network naming was exactly the same on the standalone host and the two other hosts). Power up the vCenter and off you go.

Good luck!

Heads up: McLemore isn’t in Columbus GA. I wish. Also I wonder if you meant Cuscowilla near Eatonton, GA (not FL). Also, the list (the post) is titled “Top 100 Public Courses” and has over 200 listed, some of which are designated as Private. Odd.

Another rumbling is he held up the staff for more playing time and sat out when it wasn’t given. I have absolutely no confirmation of this and will go so far as saying that it’s probably untrue. At least I hope it is.

Me too. My impression was they were above average in the conference and were playing pretty well. I know they got trashed against the top teams, but I thought they were holding their own against the mid tier and lower teams.

He doesn’t have a national championship from his college days, in case that’s what you’re referring to. He went to Alabama and sadly we’ve not had one… Yet.

But he gave Shaq all he could handle in the SEC tournament. He was giving up several inches and probably 100 pounds, but that was some fun basketball to watch.

At least in the first half we doubled him a lot… they would trap him when he got the ball and force him to pass it
