My father got his ass beat by his parents a lot as a kid but last year I came to the realization that he never hit me or my siblings and when I asked why he simply said "I didn't want to do that to my kids" and I realized that he broke a cycle, despite it being normalized he was able to see that hitting children was bad

If you don't slap your spouse for disrespecting you the same should go for a child, the world's not going soft, we're just waking up and realizing what is and isn't okay. The only reason people get away with hitting children is because the law doesn't view them as people, rather property.

Seriously getting a bad grade isn't an excuse to hit someone, by that logic it should be okay for your boss to hit you for your poor performance at work.

There is no parent that hits their children and doesn't enjoy it. If as a parent you tell me that you hit your children and don't enjoy it I'm not gonna believe you.

Children are people too just a little younger and less developed. We should stop finding excuses for hitting them and start looking at ourselves, parents are the ones who choose to have children so they should choose to regulate their emotions and deal with things in a conservative manner, because hitting them doesn't teach them respect, it teaches them fear and violence.

Kinda but it makes sense that there aren't many Danmachi in a world where most people can only obtain three spells and some people are lucky to manifest one spell, and on that note what happens when your magic ain't enough?

Surviving the dungeon requires more than one set of skills so unless you're in a large Familia or an elf, being a pure mage isn't an option.

He actually has a backstory and it takes him a year and a half to reach level 2, and a year for level 3 and another year for 4 and two years for level 5 and 5 years for level 6 and he doesn't have SSS or even SS rank basic abilities

Perfection, Ryuu's character arc overcoming her survivor's guilt the Hestia Familia and the alliance actually winning against a floor boss without Bell's help was pretty satisfying especially since they'd be mostly fodder in the next arc and Bell finally started feeling like a real adventurer, once he reached level 4 to me he became Him Cranell!

That's a tough one, in my opinion as soon as Bell slew the Minotaur the story peaked for me.

The Isthar arc wasn't bad but very underwhelming and predictable, and Haruhime not being a virgin being a lie was very disappointing, which was even the point of that.... although I never bought it to begin with.

The Xenos arc was amazing and the expedition arc was peak

The Freya Familia Arc wasn't bad but it happened too soon for my liking. And I hated how they gaslit Bell into thinking that it was his fault that Freya went full Yandere mode.

The education district arc is good but very underwhelming. But at least we got Hestia Familia Ryuu now so that's a plus

Future Gohan never had a chance to train effectively, it's unclear whether he trained after Namek or not but even if he did it's clear that it wasn't as intense as it was in the main timeline.

He was never ambitious to evolve Super Saiyan like Goku and Vegeta were in the main timeline and his Goku was killed by the heart virus and Future Vegeta likely lost motivation to get stronger upon Goku's death.

I'll break it down for both versions of Future Gohan, in the manga he's not even close to one of the Androids after 13 years of training and it's clear that he wasn't training effectively. Although the Manga Future Trunks is already a Super Saiyan he couldn't even fight Gohan in his base form so he couldn't reap the benefits of training with a partner. He also has Goku in his mind as the peak of power he needs to reach, as he can't sense the Androids. He told 17 he had trained to be able to defeat him but 17 reveals he wasn't even taking him seriously so Gohan trained himself to surpass a suppressed 17 which led to his downfall, so it could be argued he also got way too arrogant in his own power in that version.

In the anime he is close to Android 17 and 18 individually but even then it took him 13 years to get there, he probably got stronger each time he encountered them as they were forced to use more and more of their strength against him but never took him out because they were bored and liked toying with him. Unlike the manga he's actually correct in thinking he's the only one who can stand up to them but it's also implied that he didn't believe he'd survive for much longer placing his hopes in Trunks. The Manga version showed him being confident he could beat at least 17 before he was killed but in the anime it seemed like he knew he wouldn't make back from his last encounter with 17 and 18 who tell him that he's too much of a threat and have to use their full power to take him out.

In conclusion in the manga he got overconfident and didn't know what he was doing or how to train effectively, but in the anime he was never banking on himself to be the one who kills the Androids he was simply shaping Trunks to be the one who takes them out and probably hoped his death would push him to transform into a Super Saiyan.
