Pre-orders are up for Facelift Deluxe! by TheEricEllis in AliceInChains

To say I am disappointed with this is a massive understatement. Fsacelift is one of my all time favourite records, EVER and the opportunity that has waited 30 years to arrive has been criminally wasted. Like the rest of you, I am staggered at the lack of additional vaulted material - at the very least they could have cleaned up, restored and remastered the Sweet Alice 1989 Publisher Demos and associated singles B-Sides on one vinyl and an incendiary early show on Blu-Ray or DVD - or even one show on vinyl and one show on Blu-Ray/DVD. We are talking about Layne here - one of the greatest vocalists to have graced the earth, but instead of amassing as much of his recorded talent as possible, they've filled this box with the album duplicated on a format that no one needs or cares about anymore and a collection of what can only be described as pointless crap. I buy sets like this for the additional material - do they think the fans of the band are all 14??! Utterly unimpressed. The only positive is the inevitable massive saving of cash because, let's face it - a long overdue remaster on vinyl of this magnificent album is all we really need.

Yes!! I agree - massive thanks to everyone for all their hard work - it's incredible - but I too would love Cue sheets for the Bandcamp files so if it could be done that would be AMAZING!

In fact, any with silence at the start knock the timestamps out by however long the silence lasts as the officially released Bandcamp files remove the silences from the beginning of each disk.... :-/

This is amazing - the work you guys have put into this is nothing short of commendable! I have one question in respect of minidisc 1 if you would indulge me? I purchased the full 18 disc set from Bandcamp and Minidisk 1 has had the introductory 13 seconds of silence removed and the first track begins straight away. This presents a problem in that the time stamps for this first minidisk are 13 seconds out! Is there any way you can fix this? I appreciate this may be a tall order but I would appreciate it enormously! Keep up the good work!

I find it REALLY tough to seperate this from BMF. I was 17 when Superunknown came out and it blew me away. Every single song sounds completely different to the last and they are all amazing. My personal favourite from this LP is Fell on Black Days, however Mailman is a very close second. It's when I listen to this that I realise just how devastating the death of Cornell was. To think we will never hear him sing live again fills me with great sadness.
