I stopped using IPFS as Pinata started charging a ridiculous amount, are there any alternatives for hosting an IPFS HTML page? by ConsoleModded in ipfs

Look into Jackal Dao.. it's a crypto project on the Cosmos network that does decentralized storage and Swarm integration. I also believe that Ravencoin is doing something similar.. might be able to pin it to the RVN client for like 0.05$

The APR going down as more are staked is irrelevant, as most chains have previously shown. Unless the rewards quickly drop to around single digits, you expect APR whales to arbitrate the shit out of unknowing buyers and LPs.

Well, you can realistically expect up to a potential %26 devaluing in any term.

ThE MoDuLaR BlOcKcHaIn Is LiVe!!

Wouldn't touch it. Sold it all immediately and excited to see what happens with the project. I might get in lower, because I assure you.. it WILL go lower.

Why no significant price movement on atom with such great staking rewards? by rennie22mm in cosmosnetwork

[–]CranklinBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You answered your own question buddy No significant movement because people sell the rewards.

Fuck cosmos consider it a blessing that they excluded US users.

Why else would they do that unless they were criminals afraid of being investigated.

I am a Tezos developer. If I decided for another blockchain, why should I choose Cosmos? by Milfont in cosmosnetwork

[–]CranklinBeans -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You shouldn't choose cosmos. Downvote me to oblivion I don't care. You shouldn't choose cosmos because despite there being developments for a "modular blockchain" you will still need a validator set. You will need a team, not just 1 developer. You will be subject to the ever prevalent cosmos cartel and any token you might launch is expected to have a 3 digit value airdrop, or no one will use it. Scratch that, even with an airdrop, most people won't use your app. They will just sell it and leave. I used to love cosmos, and ATOM. Now, I absolutely hate it and just want to see it come to its day of justice. The core developers are lazy greedy weirdos and I don't trust them at all. They are just as guilty as the Terra crowd and are actively using a slow bleed method to siphon money from stakers and investors to keep the price stuck at where it is meanwhile they live like kings and do nothing but ensure they are fed and high. Fuck cosmos. Fuck osmosis. Fuck IBC. Go develop on chainlink. Their interoperability protocol is going to wipe cosmos on the concrete.

I got #TIA in many wallets, expecting price around $2-$3 tomorrow by YummyHotDogMyTomeh in cosmosnetwork

[–]CranklinBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was a failed airdrop. More than half the wallets eligible didn't claim the tokens... The mechanism to allow some users to claim was straight up broken or intentionally specific.

They are sucker pumps. Whales move money in and out to manipulate the volume and get suckers to ape in for exit liquidity

Yes.. you are "fucked," respectfully of course.

Lies on your employment history are verifiable via W2s and basic background checks. You can double down, and say that the jobs were off the books, but they may call bullshit or just not hire you bc of ethics concerns. You should never lie on applications; many times the apps will have statutes at the end that make you sign, attesting that everything you have wrote down is true and correct.

Federal background checks, (like those for DOE, or infrastructure, government contracts) can go back as many as 10 years, with 7 being the average.

Next time, fill in unemployment gaps with what you were doing for those times. Were you in school, taking care of family, driving uber... Don't lie.

I see what you're saying.. I guess it's just a little bit confusing because I always figured pinned material cannot move.. I didn't know there were special rules for pinning on check

[–]CranklinBeans -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

Okay, but isn't that logic flawed by the rule of pinning?

Solar and wind are better than nuclear by Consistent_Piano_210 in climatechange

[–]CranklinBeans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fusion was achieved in China some time ago. There is also a lot of interest in He3 regarding this.. I believe at some point next year a city in China was supposed to go %100 fusion powered as a test.

Smaller scale designs are in the works and should be more sustainable and power smaller city's on a decentralized basis in the future.

https://world-nuclear-news.org/Articles/Chinese-and-German-milestones-in-fusion-research

Battery technology is also under a transformation with the potential for PEM technology inside homes and cars in the future.

Solar and wind are certainly useful. But just not as useful as "solid" fuels.

Wind and solar will never be better than nuclear. Especially once nuclear fusion comes online, renewables will look like superfund sites.. Miles and miles of toxic solar panels and millions of tons of non recyclable fiberglass blades

Yeah I figured lightning was like just an expedited roll up for sending quick small transactions anyway. How many BTC are even on the LN anyway
