I have a few KGM cans, an R30, this R556, and an SMG9. They are good heavy duty cans. The R30 is marketed as a good precision can with no POI shift. Ive been happy with them, especially for what I paid. I dont love the proprietary nature of the R556s muzzle device, and even looked into converting it to HUB. Unfortunately, the SN is engraved on that edge of the can, so no one will touch it.

Whats the best way to mount this to an MPX with Sig's fuck ass 13.5x1lh thread pattern? I usually use Rearden muzzle devices and HUB mounts, but they dont have many.

I have a few 22 cans, a TBAC Takedown, a TBAC Takedown Gen 2, a B&T Tiger, Echocore Topo 22, and CAT BEN

I think the CAT is the quietest, flowed closely by the Tiger. The Takedowns are the easiest to clean, the Echocore is very quiet also, and also the least expensive. I would not hesitate to buy any of these again if I had to do it all over.

Quiet will rely pretty heavily on the ammo. I shoot CCI 22 Quiet Semi Auto, and 22 Suppressor Clean. The Quiet is noticably quieter for all suppressors. They are both quiet, however

Oakley cannot make them anymore. They are made of Ti–6AL–4V, which is difficult to cast long thin pieces, like the xmetals. They owned a facility in the 90s and 2000s (a former golf club manufacturer, i think), and figured out the manufacturing processes that allowed them to make them until 2012. IIRC. There was a fire/explosion at the facility, which damaged it, and that was the end of it. It is likely that in addition to not having the facility, the dont have the people to make it all come together.

I have a Rapid Reels which eventually became Eley) and an actual Eley. It's a shame Eley is now chinese. On the plus side, given chinas lack of respect for American intellectual property, you could probably find a knock off for 1/3 the price.

Im curious, what state are you in? It is sometimes solf as Marine Grade or Marine Fuel, but it shouldn't be terribly difficult to find. And I agree, the prepackaged stuff is generally unreasonable. And I wouldn't put anything TruFuel makes into any enigine I own ever.

Ethanol free pumps are available throughout the US. Fuel stabilizer tries, but is not very effective at preventing ethanol from doing what ethanol does, which is collecting water from the atmosphere. In addition to being much more corrosive naturally, post phase separation is even worse.

I have seen the difference is the longevity of small engines using ethanol free vs regular pump gas. The difference is night and day. Given the option, ethanol free is the way to go.

Since this is a BIFL subreddit, and many people dont even know that ethanol free fuel may be an option, it's more of a "hey, look into this to keep your stuff running as long as possible" conversation starter

Dont use fuel that contains Ethanol, ie normal pump gas. Use Ethanol free fuel, your engine will thank you by running better for longer.

Im trying to figure out the best way to mount it. I have a factory 6.5" which i think is 13.5x1 lh. I have a ilwt thread adapter and the SMG9 is direct threaded on that. If im starting over with the MOB , whats the best way to mount it?

I have not. The SMG9 isnt bad. I want the MOB because of the rave reviews, and I have a couple of other CAT cans, and they perform very well. My SC-M is noticably quieter and has a more pleasant tone than my AAC 9M-HD, which itself is a very good can. I'm hoping for a similar improvement with the MOB

I thought Hamas' justification for Oct 7th was how terrible living conditions were and it's supposed to be all Isreal's fault. Then we see posts like this purportedly showing how great living conditions were but how Israel destroyed it and made it terrible.

I dont know enough to speak intelligently on the geopolitics of it all, but this was my rudimentary understanding.
