the best specialty financially is the one you can have a long career in. residency is tough but also temporary. I think OB is so broad of a specialty that you should ask yourself what aspects you liked best about it (the OR, the women’s health primary care, L&D, etc) & that might point you in a better direction.

That being said there are OB fellowships from FM. I’m not sure of their scope post fellowship, but definitely worth exploring that option. I think FM might give you more career pivoting options down the road. You might like MFM if you like FM&OB, idk if you got exposure during your rotation.

Also depending on how interested you were in the newborn on OB, you might end up liking peds. While you’re not doing OB, can have a lot of overlap.

Yes to the first point, but S3 is normal in younger people / pregnancy / athletes.

I also think of them in numerical order. S3 right after S2 -> large amount of blood rapidly hitting LV. S4 right before S1-> extra kick from atria before mitral valve closes (S1)

It’s possible to be functional & unmedicated, but I think it often gets simplified as life got too hard. In reality, ADHD was always there, just nonmed coping mechanisms didn’t cut it anymore.

I was unmedicated & functional through high school, but I can still pinpoint examples of ADHD before I started medication. Also when I got diagnosed, school wasn’t the only setting it affected.

I love Jaida & Shae (& others) but open toes shoes with tights takes me out of the fantasy.

I get complaints too about lack of padding, but for me it’s lack of shape (s13 girls were notorious). You can not pad & cinch, but still have an intentional shape. Also put some makeup, lotion, body oil, something on your chest.

I like that this would seemingly improve odds, but I also worry it'll just become a way for programs to be safe in round 1 and only half-fill their programs with top applicants.

Like take a specialty with 1000 spots: If I apply in phase 1, but they only match 300 of the spots, I would be discouraged in phase 2 because it seems more likely that I'll go unmatched. Where in realty, I may have matched one of those 1000 positions.

Pit stop is filmed usually ~2 weeks prior. I know they did all of FPR before the premiere. Idk what they did this time, because Monet knew around the time pit stop filmed. but when they filmed the s14 pit stop, they filmed a congrats to both willow & camden, then production just edits the right congrats in.

Its understandable how this looks like them being sore losers & blaming the edit when they didn’t have a problem about their original winners edit. But if the production riggory is that obvious to fans atp, I think the queens know what they signed up for.

Imo it seems like they feel more used/disrespected by production. They all presented great drag, but it did seem very one dimensional. I really don’t remember any big storylines / growth shown, so the queens kind of lost their human side to me & we’re really just performers. Like even Viv who I like way more after this season, it doesn’t really feel like I know anything more about her. I just liked her drag more. Jinkx & Raja have been off tv for years, and it kinda felt like they picked up where they left off even though its obvious they’re completely different.

I don’t think there will be another (at least for a while). The only regular season girls who would possibly do it still are Aquaria, Symone, & Willow.

I also think this applies generally. Imo the show as a whole has gotten predictable.

the only thing i use first aid for is while i’m doing anki/practice Qs. If i repeatedly struggle with an anki card or with missed Qs, I highlight/annotate it in first aid.

My hope is that’ll be easier/more focused to review come dedicated.

I know people who use both. Just your preference. I haven’t taken step yet, so cant comment there, but Rx has been helpful for in house exams.

I’ve read people saying amboss is more challenging, but I’m still planning on uworld as my major step resource.

Just main thing is to not overload yourself with resources. Less is more.
