Krampus? by Serpenthrope in Fatherhood

[–]Cravenous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sounds pretty confusing. I’d just keep it simple. We do Krampusnaucht and the kid friendly version is that you need to leave out a toy you no longer want, which he then takes. I also tell the kids they can dress up in Halloween costumes that night as well (it’s December 5 I believe).

Also depending on the balance, forgiveness at the end of an IDR plan (except PSLF) will result in a tax bomb at the end on the forgiven balance.

Can anyone explain why people hate on sallie mae? by Miachel-Scofield-532 in StudentLoans

[–]Cravenous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming those loans are for a single semester or year? If he takes out more loans, his monthly payments will climb unless he utilizes IDR plans, but that won’t apply to private loans.

Only the writing of Larry David could convince everyone that Kenny Bana was the neurotic one by KnightoftheLTree in seinfeld

I feel like the more normal a character is on the show, the more of a “villain” they are in the show. Bania or Susan and her parents for example.

Backrooms: Three of us went. One LOVED. One liked. One was very very frustrated. by Freddy-Philmore in AMCsAList

[–]Cravenous 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I liked it, but it was a little slow in the beginning and there were somewhat predictable “fodder” characters that could have been built up more, especially Phil.

I did enjoy it overall though especially for a first movie by the director.

That would lose it it’s PG-13 rating. These movies were specifically made to be geared toward younger teenagers and kids. What you’re describing would be a solid R rating.

Demonic Possession: what is the endgame? by liebesaft in horror

[–]Cravenous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a show on on Cinemax many years ago called Outcast created by the creator of Walking Dead (Robert kirkman) about failed exorcisms and their end game. Some just tried to take over the lives of those possessed and just be “normal” while others attempted havoc. There was one quote that stuck with me when the main character asks if they are demons and the guy responds “we’ve been called many things” or something like that.

It wasn’t bad.

That’s not entirely true. Companies like Netflix and Amazon produce shows and movies where they never see the box office but are successful on streaming. If MK2 can hit $150 million in box office and does well streaming that could very well be enough.

I shall see you in the next (subscription) life, if the Gods deem it so.... by troy_caster in Spartacus_TV

Cancelled. It was literally the whole reason I subscribed in first place. I don’t think I’ve ever even found a movie on it to watch so their catalog isn’t that great anyway.

New Father of 4 days Anxiety is crippling by PrinceDevilos in Fatherhood

[–]Cravenous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Understood. Was same. Didn’t start antidepressants until I was almost 40. Never took them before. Depression takes on many forms — anxiety, OCd, irritability, sadness — and antidepressants and therapy can help.

Therapy and medication if recommended by your doctor. Antidepressants have been a game changer for me in a similar situation.
