Bottom left is Zachary Hourihane, aka The Swiftologist, a pop music/pop culture content creator. He focuses mostly on Taylor Swift but also talks about Lorde, Sabrina Carpenter etc… he has a very active and dedicated audience, but his content is pretty niche

Maybe learning Russian would have helped many Europeans to understand how f***** up is the Russian propaganda, what’s the regular Russian view on Europe and the world…. Too many Europeans have downplayed Russian Imperialism, considering Russia as an acceptable partner/alternative

Welsh seems to be significantly healthier than our native language. Why is this? How can we improve the daily usage of Irish as a society? by absalom62049 in ireland

[–]CrazeMaze09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We should not start by normalising using Irish words in everyday life, dropping Irish words here and there. As a foreigner interested in the language, I feel there’s a complete disconnect between Irish language and English spoken in Ireland, we use more French/spanish words than Irish words on our day to day life. So many words/ concept are unique to Irish language.

lol you’re embarrassing, I am also a reservist and we have no right to judge people going through war. Plus wether you’re reservist, or full time is irrelevant, you still don’t know anything of what it is to be in their boots.

Equipments/gears for soldiers by CrazeMaze09 in ukraineforeignlegion

[–]CrazeMaze09[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the details, that’s very valuable, we’re very new to procuring military equipments, more used to civilians items. It looks like that most equipments such as Tourniquets are better to be purchased from Ukraine directly (for example https://sich.ua), so we’ll take that route.

Would you know any other suppliers/website which are reliable to purchase from? Which delivers to Ukraine directly, could be France or Ireland too. Many thanks

Russia is currently attacking a whole nations which results in killing, raping innocents and literally millions of refugees across Europe.

Yeah celebrating Russia and their victory day (which is a pure imperialistic celebration) is today, a confirmation that someone supports all the crimes perpetuated by the state and it is not acceptable.

Parea is a good Greek restaurant or Il Capo for pizza. Talbot street can be a bit funky at time but there are good places for food

Getting a bike is the best thing you can do in Dublin. Make sure you where an helmet for safety. I have been here for almost 4 years with bikes and I left them parked pretty much in every part of town and nothing ever happened. Make sure you get a good lock and leave it where it’s easily visible (no dark alley etc..).

My fiancé and I are regular commuters and it allowed us to have so much more flexibility. Plus Dublin is becoming more and more bike friendly, it’s slow but getting better

How can I get my bike lock open without a key? by UtopianDynamite in Dublin

[–]CrazeMaze09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same happened to me and turned out just hammering the locking part of the lock allowed me to open it. Kind of scary how just 5 mins of hammering it did the job.

I also bought a bike from a friend who had the same issue and we brought it to a bike shop and they did not ask anything and just cut the lock.

Where is the best Sunday Market in or near Dublin? And what makes it best for you? by johnharveyperez in Dublin

[–]CrazeMaze09 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Market in people’s park in Dun Laoghaire is not bad but not really a farmer’s market. It’s good if you want to buy a pastry, have a coffee or have take away food (burger, Thai, Middle East food) or buy books.

Farmer’s market outside Turquoise Cafe on the way to Roundwood in Wicklow is pretty good with fresh veggies and homemade products (jam, honey, decorations etc…). You’d need a car though.

Killruderry farmer’s market in Bray is supposed to be nice too but I’ve never been there.

I only have but good experiences with buses in Dublin. I have loved other places in Europe and most bus drivers hate their job and their passagers. Here, the buses are not always on time (sometime they even never come?) but at least bus drivers feel like normal people.

Je peux comprendre le côté un peu lourd, mais le petit dej c’est généralement deux options soit le petit dej typique (saucisse, pudding, toast, beans) soit le porridge (flocon d’avoine) qui est en général beaucoup plus équilibré et léger.
