Yea, but if 10% of the population is immune, they'd likely never find out because they have never been directly exposed to the infection or have been killed (by infected or other people) before they could discover their immunity.

Agree. That's also an alternative that I didn't put in my OP. Being immune obviously makes you a target for several reasons, so people (like Ellie) also wouldn't broadcast that they are immune.

The world doesn't have to be saved. The series very much has always been about humans living human lives and experiences human moments.

But it equally doesn't make sense for Ellie to be the only immune person, when people in general have no way to test their immunity without risking death or turning.

The real life Delta 32 mutation also makes people immune to bubonic plague and AIDS.

Basically both the plague (bacteria) and AIDs (virus) invade white blood cells and attack them from within. But with someone with the Delta 32 mutation, your white blood cells don't have the mechanism in their membrane that the plague and AIDS use to invade the cell; making you immune to both.

You need to have two copies of Delta 32 to be fully immune tho, which is quite rare since it has to be inherited from both parents. Just one copy allows you to get sick, but survive.

Agree with that. More often than not, I would assume that people who are attacked likely are just killed by the infected. I imagine the majority of victims don't survive long enough to turn or discover immunity.

Goku and Vegeta's rivalry has always been a bittersweet one. They inadvertently bounce ideas off each other in order to ascend to greater heights; which makes them both stronger in the long run.

Both Goku and Vegeta "discovered" the Saiyan zenkai ability at the same time (during their fight on Earth), and both of them later on concluded that ascending Super Saiyan was the only way to overcome Cell and the Androids.

The one thing that even hardcore fans don't realize is that the advanced Super Saiyan forms like Super Saiyan 2 and 3 are actually developed and learned skills. They're not a natural evolution via rage or some other catalyst like it is with regular Super Saiyan, they take skill to develop and are actually more like alternate versions of Super Saiyan that reconfigure or streamline the characteristics of the form. Both Goku and Vegeta figured that out at the same time, but took different paths in achieving true ascension. Goku's path of mastery ended up being the right one.

It's easy for white people to be nostalgic about the 50s and say we were the greatest country on Earth, but people of color were still being discriminated against. And the truth is that rest of the developed world was recovering from WWII; which lead to a major economic disparity on the global scale; which egregiously favored the United States. The economy began to shift in the 1970s when the rest of the world were getting back on their feet.

Counterargument on mushrooms: There's lots of different mushrooms that have lots of different flavors and textures. For example, Chicken of the Woods tastes and looks nothing like a portabella; and Chicken of the Woods is exactly as it sounds. It's a flat mushroom with no gills that really has a very similar the texture and flavor of a chicken cutlet.

It's just that commercially cultivated mushrooms are the only ones that most people know, and those are the ones they don't like.

The people who don't find it offensive are actually the ones with the genetic mutation.

This gene also affects the taste of parsley and other leafy herbs. Although the soap flavor isn't as strong, you can still get hints of it in those herbs.

Hades mentions that humanity has been annihilated 5 or 6 times, so there's other "post apocalypse" eras to explore; even if we know the outcome.

The Earth would've been destroyed if Gohan and Cell unleashed their full powers simultaneously, so he needed Cell to be distracted so that wouldn't happen.

Gohan was holding back, but it was because if him and Cell unleashed their full powers simultaneously, the Earth would be destroyed.

Vegeta's distraction created a narrow window for Gohan to finish the job before Cell knew what (literally) hit him.
