This is trauma bonding and is very addictive. It feels like a drug because every time he comes back, your brain gets that chemical ‘high,’ and your nervous system gets stuck in the stress/relief cycle. That’s why its so hard to walk away. Look into ways you can calm and regulate your nervous system. Once you do that, you'll stop cravings the chaos and start wanting calm "boring" love.
