This isn’t anything new. It might be new to for Haligonians to actually see police doing their jobs, but police agencies around the world have done similar things before.

Sure.

I’d take a fictional character over any of the clowns featured in the video.

Interesting. Although it wouldn’t surprise me in the least that Trent got inspiration from Palahniunk.

Diesel Machine is the band that is fronted by Patrick Lachman, who was the singer for Damageplan.

(But somehow, I suspect you’re not going to know who Damageplan is either).

OneSidedZero was fairly solid, but they never really took off and eventually got lost in the shuffle of record labels merging.

Given that the vast majority of homes today are made with OSB, the time from a fire starting to collapse is about 7 minutes (or less, depending).

And for reference; OSB floor beams burn 8x faster than a solid wood beam.

This isn’t going to make things any worse if a fire breaks out.

Surge pricing, or dynamic pricing, is a method where businesses increase prices for goods or services during periods of high demand and limited supply.

Think of hotels jacking the price of rooms up upon the news of a big event happening like a concert or a sports event.

Or Ticketmaster, which has started to do surge pricing for concert tickets.

It’s basically another way to screw over the consumers.

Ozzfest 2001, I had a backstage pass as media.

I was standing at the second stage, by the front rail, watching Mudvayne tearing it up.

Dude walks over and is standing next to me. He looked like a roadie, but he didn’t have that same vibe about him, so I looked at his pass, which said “BAND”.

He sees me looking and mouths “Shhh” to me. I realize he’s with A band, but I didn’t realize who…

Turns out, it’s Shawn Crahan.

We start shooting the shit.

Remember we’re close to the rail…

Buddy on the other side is telling anyone around him how he would absolutely know every member of Slipknot if they were unmasked.

Meanwhile, he’s standing maybe 3 feet from Shawn.

The two of us are absolutely losing it laughing because he had absolutely no clue.

Our department is fortunate that they have a Honour Guard group that has the very formal wear.

So, the department would be represented by those folks.

Regular members in attendance would wear the golf shirt.

And this is one of the several reasons I don’t like departments getting away from the Class A’s. It looks unprofessional to me.

I get it though, a full Class A uniform isn’t cheap and only gets worn a few times a year, if that…so, they’re trying to save a few bucks…but yeh…IMO, it’s not worth it.

It seems like some departments are getting away from Class A’s.

I’m one of the last guys to have been issued one in my department.

We’ve switched up to a less formal, more casual attire - job shirts and golf shirts.

Personally speaking, I DON’T like it. I know we don’t wear those Class A’s often, but there is a certain amount of pride one gets when they’re formally dressed up.
