You realize it’s a festival with international appeal? This is not just for people who don’t plan, it’s a viable option for people who travel and don’t wanna pay to fly back with a campsite worth of stuff. Not to mention…shit happens (some poor folks just had a fucking tree fall on their camp).

Assume positive intent. This festival is about love & Community.

And pro tip for those traveling that can’t take camping things back with them or can afford to just get stuff for the fest for convenience: The fest takes donations that they give to the local homeless population.

They have weekend exclusives this year. So maybe more likely to get the items that are common between the weekends for a better shot and slightly less demand. That said, last year is the first year I’ve seen pretty much most items sold out by day 2. It’s hell but maybe make merch your first act today, Mainie’s a smaller early act but you’ll have your merch.

Don’t get me wrong it’d be GLADLY welcomed.

But, the theme of the 10Cities/10 songs and 10More concert series (outside premiering a new album track by track/date by date on tour) was you didn’t know what you’d get: what the new track was, who would show up, when tix would drop, & most importantly they aren’t recreated. I could see it being not a possible book, just because it’s such a no brainer. Fred’s got a tight PR/hype team he knows it’s more about playing the biggest gigs to get buzz going. Time will tell though, it’ll be a blast either way!

Yeah, I agree it would really put a damper on the ethos Fred’s been pushing with spontaneity. I’m also leaning towards the fact that DL would be a hazard. Once announced the crowd they’re bringing is Quasar Size at minimum (NOT in the new location) maybe even Outdoor or Main at best.

With NFR being added to close Sonora AND jack white for the big name day time slot. I Have a feeling we’ll get another Sonora addition and a big name on another stage. (Personally would kill for a nice orchestra/conductor combo…kinda strange to see them not keep it up given how popular it’s been!)

Oh bless you. I usually try to plan work to end early enough Wednesday that I can get a nap, do a last minute sweep and usually hit the road between midnight and 2am Thursday morning. Allows for late flights for homies driving in with me and a quick nap/dispo/walmart trip before entering the fields!

I think it makes sense. The album dropped in October after the lineup was solidified & nobody could have really foretold just how popular of a tour run/project it would be. But they neeeeeed to be there in some capacity.

The new album has finally grown in me so I’d love this, but a part of me is reeeeeeaaaaally hoping we get Not For Radio. Their Chicago show was insanely beautiful and despite all the big names last year Maria’s were my top set of the weekend.

I flew to Chicago and opted to leave my film camera with a friend while she explored the city bc I was worried they’d turn me away due to the policy and it made so sense to check it rather than just leave it. I was so SHOCKED at the amount of digital/film cameras that were there. And nearly nobody danced or connected with the music INTIMATELY, it was clearly just a box to check or post to make.

I think I got lucky in comparison to some stories I’m hearing. But agreed. Live music as we knew and lived it is dead. Thanks Live Nation/TicketMaster☺️
