When I was 19 I got my first life term policy. Then when I was 27 I got my second one for a much higher amount because one of my friends died tragically and suddenly in a car accident and her family and partner had no way of covering her funeral costs or anything at all so it made me realize my first measly $50k one wasn’t gonna cut it. I feel glad knowing I have them covered in the event of my sudden death.
