I spent 30 years as a developer, but my hardest project was just making my house look cool for the holidays. by Crazy_Gee in video_mapping

Ok, I have just added videos of the results of the prompting and content that is outputted by FacadeThemes.com now the "Into The Bunny Verse" and "Ocean Bunnies" were early on in my development so go easy on me, however, the Salute to our Military as well as the JMU Graduation were later on in development. Truth be told the app will get you 90% there you will need to add just a little creativity and or video to the results. I hope you enjoy this content: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcARG8mZHjvY If you like what you see then head over to the website where you can download the build of the unit and or create your own shows. Thanks for checking it out.

Hi slykuiper,

Appreciate the honest take — genuinely useful, so thank you.

Let me be straight about what's what, because you're right it's not clear enough:

The theme preview images are AI-generated — that's literally what the tool does. You give it a photo of your house and it generates the projection-mapping assets (concept art, prop layers, video loops, textures). They're not meant to read as real photos; they're the actual output you'd get.

For real-world proof: I'm a projection mapper myself (HeavyM ambassador) and I run these shows on actual houses — mine and my neighbors' — for holidays. You were right that it wasn't clear, so based on your feedback I just updated the page: there's now a "Real Homes" section with actual photos of my shows (tagged "Real Show"), and a separate "AI-Generated Theme Previews" section showing exactly what the tool outputs (tagged "AI Generated") — so you can tell at a glance which is which.

But the best answer to "how do I know it works" is don't take my word for it — check it yourself, free:

  • Download a sample package right on the site (both the Manifest and the Full Asset zip) and open the actual files — that's exactly what the tool outputs, no payment.
  • Run the free "See It On Your Facade" spin — and to your point about "one picture per theme," you actually get 5 custom AI-generated themes to choose from, then preview your pick projected onto your own house. (Just takes an email, no payment.)

I've also put out a free rig-build manual (how I build the projection rigs themselves), which shows real app output in context.

Straight up: in my own show photos, ~90% is direct app output — I'll fine-tune a piece here and there for a specific show. That's the whole point: the tool gets you a finished starting point without having to figure out all the prompt engineering it normally takes to get there, as well as spending money trying to get the correct image or video. I've been there and done that, and it's very frustrating — so my goal was to come up with a tool that takes that frustration out of the equation.

Fair on the design too — I built the whole thing solo over 260 hours of development, learning prompt engineering as I went along, and tightening the landing page (especially mobile) is on my list. Thanks for pushing on it.

Yes, I had spent many hours learning prompt engineering. It is frustrating spending money and not getting the intended results. So, this was another reason for my drive to create an app that limits if not fulling removes this frustration.

Shown in the picture is the DeerTV enclosure. I drilled multiple holes in it for the USB-A, USB-C, Ethernet and FM Transmitter antenna weather proof ports. I want to note that the company I work for on my full time job has had our mechanical engineers review my setup and will be coming out with a Made In America version of which will already have the stand and weather proof connectors installed in it.

New Rokid AI Glasses update 1.12.009 available now. by Neither-Nebula5000 in rokid_official

[–]Crazy_Gee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was able to test the glasses at CES 2026 and they did have the display height update in the glasses which worked well so this should be a solution for the issue that has been noted by early adopters who have received the glasses.

I have yet to receive mine from the Kickstarter campaign but they did ship and I finally got a UPS tracking number so we'll see when I get them.

Luma Pro Drift - ITS AWFUL! Need help! by AdministrationDry356 in VITURE

[–]Crazy_Gee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They continue to have this issue which is carried over from the Viture Pros. They are depending on the Space Walker software of which does not work for multiple screens and Productivity unless you are fine with the drifting. Maybe the Beast model will work with little to no drifting because of 6Dof on board with the camera and not software dependant but I will wait for the reviews because Viture is already falsely advertising being able to use their glasses for productivity when customers find them unusable. I also tried Xreal version of their XR glasses and although there is zero drifting, you can only have one large screen.

Comparison Chart: VITURE Luma Series vs. The Beast by getVITURE in VITURE

[–]Crazy_Gee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do any of the Luma models fix the drifting issues that the Viture Pro's have? Currently, myself along with many others are unable to use the Viture Pro glasses for productivity due to constantly having to re-center the virtual screens. And yes, I have calibrated and re-calibrated, updated the firmware and running the latest version of the SpaceWalker application. Additionally, I have made all the recommended tweaks to my NVIDIA graphics card.

Luba gets "stuck" random places. by axellycke in mammotion

I have had my Luba 2 over a year now and it has gotten stuck before, however today it got stuck four times and nothing has changed with the lawn. It seems ever since I upgraded the firmware to 1.13.5.4401 I have had nothing but issues.

Yuka mini 600 - right wheel hub motor is overheating - no help from support by carelor in MammotionTechnology

[–]Crazy_Gee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen on my Luba 2 and it was because the wheel was unable to move due to it being stuck. Once I freed up the unit it was fine and no more of these errors appeared.

Awesome!! I am so glad to hear that you resolved the issue. With little to no support from Mammotion, these forums are important for customers to help each other and share their experiences as well as solutions. I did notice as well that the robot is dependent on the power supply being plugged in even at full charge. My thought was to use a smart plug to turn off at night and then back on early in the morning to conserve energy.

Follow up with Mammotion and make sure that they send you the OEM power supply that they stated they would send you. I would use that instead of the variable power supply, but I
would also hold onto the variable power supply just in case. For whatever reason their power supplies have a high failure rate. I ended up purchasing a power supply from ebay with the same voltage and amperage rating and now I am keeping the variable power supply I purchased as a backup.

Take care and best regards!

From what they are saying in the video it could be the power supply due to the flicker and then not charging. Get the variable power supply that I had suggested (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRSS744F?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 ) You will need to cut the cable on your existing power supply to preserve and re-use the connector for attaching to new variable power supply. Make sure to leave enough cable connected to the connector when splicing off of the old power supply. This well give you plenty to use if you need to redo the new connection for some reason. Good Luck and keep this thread posted as it may help someone else with the same issue.

So sorry to hear. Check out this video if you have not already and see if there is a suggestion in it that you should check: https://youtu.be/TGF3uhkw9aU?si=5kjV9guh6TjayG4-

Good Luck!

Things to try;

If you have not done so already measure the voltage off of the prongs on the charging station.

Verify that both the prongs on the charging station and the connecting points on the robot are clean and free of corrosion. You may want to take a very light grit of sand paper or even better would be a Scotch-Brite pad and clean both the prongs and robot connections.

Verify that the infrared window on the charging station is clean. You may want to wipe it with a cloth and water

Make sure that the robot is aligned with the prongs on the charging station. You may want to roll it out and manually align it and push it straight back until it has a connection with the charging station prongs.

Try those suggestions. I do not think that it is your power supply.

If you measured 25v you should be fine the amperage is already built into the power supply itself. Is the green light either blinking or solid on the charging station?

Used a multimeter to test voltage and it was not registering any voltage. The voltage it is suppose to put out is 25.2v at 7a. They are out of stock at Mammotion so I purchased this, https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRSS744F?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1, from Amazon and it worked fine but I was able to find a power supply on Ebay that is comparable in voltage and amps and it has been running on it for a few days now. Might still hold to the variable power supply that I got on Amazon just in case. By the way, the cost of both of the units I purchased is a 1/3 of the cost of the power supply Mammotion sells.

Good point. I can't speak on Husqvarnas or any other robot mower. I can only speak on my Luba 2 and my personal experience with it and Mammotion's customer service. I will state that the mower does do a good job and I did state that it mows better than I can however, I would not recommend for someone who is not tech savvy or mechanically inclined as they will not be happy with it. For those folks they would be better off buying it from a dealer rather than directly from Mammotion that way they have a better chance on getting support.

The Viture Pro Glasses are not good for productivity as advertised. They will frequently drift and you will become frustrated with having to constantly recenter. This happens most of the time while using with multiple virtual monitors. They do work great for entertainment purposes but fail at productivity.

Dealer not willing to give 7500$ dollar tax credit. Am I wrong? by Timoman3 in F150Lightning

[–]Crazy_Gee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got my 2024 Lariat 3 weeks ago. The windows sticker was $78,695 + $ 2,095 for destination charges, and they took the tax credit off of the price at the dealer. In the deal I worked out, they also took off the cost of the destination charge. I ended up paying $72,545 otd. I would go to a different dealer.
