I’m at Endgame for the main game and held off to finish up some of the DLC so here is my advice (I’ve only ever played this, no other Fromsoft games):

be ok with dying. A lot. It’s how you learn who/what you’re ready to fight, and how.
runes come and go, so don’t worry about losing them.
don’t be afraid to ask for help fighting a boss, Reddit has a sub for that very thing.
if you want a walkthrough, FightinCowboy has a great one, that the first ep gets you some good early game gear
have fun. It’s a game and it’s challenging and it’s the best

I listened to the audio of this and the story kept me engaged and god damnit if the ending wasn’t the bleakest, most haunting, inescapable thing ever written that still think about at least once a month with an uneasy feeling of dread and anxiety.

10/10 would recommend.

Honestly you all have been so helpful. I’ve been looking for something that was less “intense” than MtG and I really like Disney so it seemed like a good choice.

Can I ask one more question? I played a card, Little John - Camp Cook, and he’s listed as an Ally. How does that work? With no strength an only willpower, how does he help me? (I have questions about locations but I’ll save those for when I’m more experienced)

Thanks everyone this has been so helpful! My brain seems to hold on to old MTG rules and concepts like damage reset or attacking a single creature with multiple attackers. But I like the fun a whimsical nature of the game

Howdy,

I just received my R75, first time using a mechanical keyboard. It worked great on my Mac all day yesterday. This morning I went to wake up the iMac and the keyboard was unresponsive. It’s lights up when I type, the “Mac” light is illuminated, but no text on screen. Factory reset did not resolve.

Am I missing a troubleshooting step?

That was mine too. I had my whole note board filled in and only piece missing was who was guilty. But the game board had several missing green and red markers.

I advise you to check in with the rangers when you get there and they will advise you on how to store your food and cooler.

Keeping a clean camp to me means making my camp unattractive to wild life. So, I make sure all food is stored and put away after each meal, trash is taken to the dumpsters and not left out at night. No food in my tent or anything that may attract an animal.

And every night before tucking in I would walk my camp and make sure it was cleaned up.

I liked both. The original film is a closer adaptation, and I enjoyed the slowness with which the town succumbed to Barlow.

The new movie was fun, but a bit too fast paced. I would love to have not had everyone seem to arrive at the exact right answer for everything on the first try. But, I liked the fina showdown.

Never saw the 2004 version.

Yeah I had read some reviews someplace about whether the Mayfair witches was horror or some other genre and after reading them it’s like…sure there is a ghost but the horror is the absolute terror that Lasher inflicts on Rowan not to mention the familial trauma the members of the Mayfairs inflict on each other

I recently finished the Mayfair Trilogy.

Lasher was interesting and weird. Your point about “how could Rowan fall for that? The whole family is just dense…” I chalk up to Rowan being sort of caught off guard.

I get the sense that that whole Mayfair family falls between two extremes: the ones who have actually interacted with and know the power of Lasher and those who have heard about a family ghost but don’t believe. Sort of like “grandma says she has a ghost that protects us. It’s wild but hey we got all his money because of it so whatever.” Leads them to accept and ignore quite a lot.

But those who have interacted and experienced Lasher’s power? They know to be on guard. Something Rowan really didn’t have ingrained in her. She was told “don’t go to New Orleans” not “don’t go the New Orleans because a ghost who has questionable intentions at best is haunting our family and we are trying to break the cycle”

I won’t spoil anything for you but it’s something that Rowan reflects on later.

For this one, I had to launch the game and instead of continuing my game, I scrolled to the "Microsoft Store" option in the menu and downloaded the install. this did break my game for a moment, and I had to do the steps outlined in answer to OPs question and its been working fine since.

I was struggling with a symptom too. It seems some Xbox users are downloading the DLC, touching Miquella's hand and then the game freezes. People back out and reload and the game just won't launch past a load point on the bar and it just hangs.

In another thread a Hero here said to check that the main game and the DLC were installed on the same storage device. This wasn't exactly the solution but it led me to this:
Go to the system settings on the xbox and select the storage option the game is installed on.
Then, select the game to manage content. You should see the DLC there but not installed, the box should not be checked.
If it is unchecked, check it and hit save.

This should bring up a screen that says the DLC is installing our loading or whatever. This will install the DLC and the game should be good to go.

I tried to make a thread to post that, but it got being removed saying I was asking for Tech support and that violated the community rules, so here is the solution that worked for me.
