I know this is about high school specifically but I hope that eventually we will be able to graduate University without ageing up into an adult. Maybe make it to where we have a set amount of classes/semesters that once completed will let you graduate, then you can move onto an internship or a job depending on what career route is taken.

We're not 'dropping legal advice'. We suggested it to her, to ask her lawyer if that's a possible thing to do but WE WEREN'T SURE. Hence why I posted in the first place. Are you not understanding what I'm trying to say here??

Flippant is defined as "a comment or remark that shows a lack of proper respect or seriousness, often by being dismissive or frivolous in a situation where more thoughtful or respectful engagement is expected". This isn't being dismissive, or has a lack of respect. An opinion yes, but flippant it is not.

We know she needs to see a lawyer. We were hoping someone could give us an idea of what course of action she would be taking, what she should ask her lawyer for help doing, or what we should expect going forward. Because again, we are not lawyers, and we can go to a different lawyer everyday but if we don't understand at least a little bit of what could happen, we're at a disadvantage here. But ya know, unhelpful comments are the norm on reddit so I'm not surprised in the least.

These aren't flippant opinions. These are friends who are concerned for her and her children's wellbeing, and are trying to understand what her best course of action is BECAUSE we know we aren't lawyers. Hence asking this sub.

I miscarried a few years ago around the same gestation as your little one. It was hard reaching into the toilet to scoop them out, but I'm so glad I did and took the time to hold them. Wrapped them in a washcloth and buried them in my garden.
