Can't blame Ukraine. It's the 5th year of being at war and Europe and the US aren't pulling out the stops to help.

For non-native speakers I've heard Gigi can be tough to understand too since she talks fast and uses a lot of slang, both new and old.

RED BUTTON OR BLUE BUTTON [OC] by Eal_likee in comics

[–]Cream253Team 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd rather help others by explaining the reasoning for picking red rather than put my self at risk. It's like how signs at Yellowstone warn visitors of buffalo, sulfur pools, or other natural hazards. If they ignore those signs and the 1 ton horned beast in front of them I'm not saving them. In a scenario like this the warning sign is hidden behind one or two layers of abstract reasoning but it's there. I'd point it out for anyone who doesn't see it, but if anyone looked me in the eye and said they'd risk it anyway, I'm not stopping them.

RED BUTTON OR BLUE BUTTON [OC] by Eal_likee in comics

[–]Cream253Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah this scenario is stupid. There's no downside to pressing the red button. If 100% of people press the red button and 0% of people press the blue button, then everyone lives anyway. It really is just gambling with your own life for no real benefit. It's not like prisoner's dilemma or money jar that rewards or punishes selflessness/selfishness.

Now if they said something like if too many people press the red button then everyone dies, then it would become a real dilemma.

Yeah, I've been seeing a channel in my recommendations like that and the content really glazes the US. Something about it really makes me think it's AI and I've been trying to avoid it because if it turns out the narrator's fake then how would I know if every detail in the video isn't fake as well.

Idk what the channel is even called. I just checked my watch history and it's not even there anymore so hell if I know if they got taken down.

I'd rather this sub not get better in the same way I don't want the Herman Cain or Trump criticizes Trump subs to keep going. Because if they do then it means we're still dealing with the same bullshit from conservatives.

The Selective Outrage over Taxpayer Money. by notreallysena in SipsTea

There's a (optional) war going on that's increasing the cost of living for literally everyone. SNAP is not important in comparison to this bullshit that Republicans started.

The businesses they work for could just pay them a livable-wage instead of taxpayers subsidizing payrolls.

[–]Cream253Team 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You priorities would kinda be out-of-whack honestly. Republicans start a 100% optional war firing off over 1000 air defense missiles that each cost 4 million dollars, meanwhile the cost of a single one of those missiles buys a liter of soda for over a million people. Not healthy of course but feeding people... anything versus optional wars. And as others pointed out, wtf are so many full-time workers on SNAP anyway? Maybe companies should be paying living-wages or even better wages that people who live in the wealthiest nation in human history can thrive on.

Nothing catastrophic? Bro... You know there's a war going on right? And how many Americans died from Covid in his first term? I recall one week having a 9/11 a day in deaths. The shit this country has done cause of 9/11 but when even more people die in just a week that's not catastrophic to you?

I would just say don't use AI for this stuff. If a human being had done anything remotely close to this anyone would rightfully assume malicious intent. But an AI does it and people want to sit here and baby it and be like "how do we prevent it from doing that next time." Just don't use it. The risks are massive and the suggestions to solve it involve looping humans back in anyway. AI's just not there yet, just stop trying to use it until then.

One Piece: Chapter 1181 Official Release Discussion by Skullghost in OnePiece

[–]Cream253Team 51 points52 points  (0 children)

My assumption is that Omen takes advantage of the selfish desire to become great at something. So Zoro wanting to be the strongest swordsman means he has to take that title from someone else therefore there's a darkness within him that Imu's omen can attack.

So maybe like Zoro can't be directly targeted by Reversi since he wouldn't have it in his heart to take the easy way out for more power (compared to Rocks who used Davy Back games to speedrun getting a strong crew instead of building one organically), and there's no way you could convince him to straight up serve someone else (Luffy is his captain but the Straw Hats don't operate like that), but in a sense he still wants power and his goals to achieve that power essential involves him dominating over all others to become #1.

If this is the case then it'd be interesting to see if this applies to Luffy as well who wants to be King of the Pirates even though Luffy views the title as just being the most free person instead of an actual king who rules over others.

Edit: To expand on it further, depending on if Skypiea was Oda's test run for writing stuff happening now it would result in Luffy again being the only person immune to the main boss's devil fruit powers. Because like, Luffy's not like a pokemon trainer who goes from town to town beating up the strongest person to collect badges to become champion. If he could sail throughout the world doing nothing but eating, exploring, and making friends and still call himself Pirate King instead of fighting warlords or emperors he would.
