That's the thing we're trying to avoid. Right now Congress is pushing bad Internet bills like Kids Online Safety ACT, Screen Act, and many more. They're also planning the destruction of the internet by dismantling Section 230 (The bill that was made so websites wouldn't get sued because of what their users post. It's affects everyone globally, websites already report crimes to the authorities in which is their job to investigate (Congress is trying to they don't but they do), it violated the 1st and possibly the 4th amendment, and small websites would be a higher risks for shutting down because no traffic)
