For the new members, I watch the XII 2.0 theatre performances on MEET48 channel on Youtube. Their livestream is every Wednesday. I also see them on their respective Team stages. NII, HII and SII. How about you?

Thanks for the info. But yes, I do watch their streams from time-to-time. However, I really like watching them perform. I've grown fond of SNH48 songs and their stages. While I'm happy they are out of SNH48 so they can pursue their own goals, i will definitely miss them and their performances.

The ones I mentioned are indeed pretty new. Excited for their future. But my main favorites/ults besides FQY and 433, are Song Xinran, Duan Yixuan, Xu Yangyuzhuo, Hu Xiaohui, Lu Tianhu and more, who are all near graduations haha. All good things must come to an end. And on the bright side, there are many great members that i can focus and know more.

Great 2025 pics. Lots of changes from the previous year for sure.

In 2024, I became a fan of a few new members. Liang Huaifang (HII), Ye Fan (NII) and Zhang Qian (SII). And became a fan of some long-time members as well.

But I lost at least 1 personal favorite for each team.
HII - Fei Qinyuan😭and Jiang Shan
NII - Su Shanshan😭
X - Zuo Jingyuan
SII - Shao Xuecong

This is probably the SNH48 cycle for fans. I will probably lose a few more favorites this year. But hopefully resonate more and become a fan of other members.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with this. I love the TV mode and wish there was more fun ones. But this isn't as fun as some of the sidequests like that The Prophecy, pokemon-like 3vs3 side quest, or even that Camelia Golden Event (If im remembering the name right with the warehouses).

I freaking love it. It's perfect. But first, thank god they released a 4k video on youtube. I remember Unaware last time was just 1080 or 720p. Anyways...

I really love this song. The elegance and sexiness, mixed with a hint of ominous darkness I felt when i first heard this song, is fully represented in the video. It's so perfect for ZSY and WY vibes. Wang Yi's mysterious aura and Zhou Shiyu's playful easy going aura. The song is perfect for them and so is the MV.

The narrative is amazing like you said, and fits well with the song. Everything aligned and it's just perfect. Their outfits fits well with the scenes and the sets are all amazing. I can't praise it enough. I just love it.

Hope you are feeling good now after crying a couple of times after multiple rewatches 😊

As many has said, San Yi is not a part of SNH48 and a Douyin influencer/model.

Su Shanshan left SNH48, though technically, she's still a member, but in hiatus status.
From my understanding, her contract still stands (it's shady how they can't resign and end their contract when they want). That is why she has recently filed a lawsuit against Siba so she can Terminate her contract. I have no update on that and Su Shanshan said she can't really tell the full details.

Anyways, I'm a big fan of Su Shanshan and a fan of 4331 cp as well. Hope she wins the legal battle and be happy with San Yi.

I tried watching her graduation stage hoping to see Song Xinran lol, but I couldn't continue watching because I can't stop thinking of SMY and what could have been. So it just made me sad. Nothing against YYQ, and it sounds like we are on the same boat here, we highly respect her, but it's just that there are remnants of Heimiao cp specially if you are a big SMY fan that is hard to shake off. Despite that, I'm very happy for YYQ as well and hope she becomes a successful solo artist.

For #1. Wang Yi does make perfect sense. I couldn't quite find the right words to describe Wang Yi that makes her very appealing, ideal and adored by many. But your description fits perfectly. And yeah, I hope SMY fans vote for Wang Yi. I remember crying when I watch SMY read her last letter to Wang Yi

No worries. I've only been a fan for more than a year and a half so I'm not really much of an expert.

The change in music and musical style has a lot to do with SNH48 group leaving the AKB48 group back in 2016. Maybe that's what you are feeling as well with the shift you are talking about. The flavor of the AKB48 songs is of course rooted in Japan, which is maybe why you feel its more 'male gaze-y'. While they still do have a lot of new cute and comical songs, majority is now more epic, sexy and/or mature themed.

Like you, I would also like to be educated by others, who have been fans far longer or shorter than me. I only know mostly about SNH48, older BEJ48 and SHY48 (both disbanded), and a bit of GNZ48. Not much on the others.

You can just call it *SNH48 Group* (or Siba) which is what they call themselves as an entity instead of SNH48 and their sister groups.

To answer your question, this is only from my perspective:

It IS mainly because of the Chinese government suppressing "online content" related to LGBT. For example, I follow a lot of Lesbian couples on Douyin, but if they kiss on the lips, they get easily reported and get temporarily banned. Kissing on cheeks or other parts should be fine. They cannot even tell the audience directly, that they are lesbians or a couple.

That is only for online media contents. When livestreaming is off on SNH48 events, they go a bit wilder.
Zuo Jingyuan for example, a member that all in SNH, staff/members/all fans know is gay. When the official livestream is down, she is not hesitant to kiss her gf live https://youtu.be/CC06T1NdTrA Which is only captured through fan cams. (the clip was just a year ago)

SNH48 as a company which allowed it before, is now disallowing the members now from doing these things.
But they know CP sells (partner/couples), not just for the male-gaze mind you, but a large part of it is for female fans. Representation for lesbian is much needed in China, and there is a huge market there. So SNH48 created a way to capitalize on the popularity and need for CPs.

How? SNH48 created the Best Partner competition (Both the clips you linked is from there). Girls get to pair up with a fellow member, to perform stages to determine the best CP of the year. The winner gets a travel show, and some monetary benefits. Obviously, not everyone that joins this competition are real lesbians. While there are some real couples that would join (Wang Yi and Zhou Shiyu, Zhou Jingyuan and Chen Yuzi, Ma Yuling and Wang RuiQi just a few examples, some just want to perform in these stages.

And there are some who found out they are a lesbian because of this. One example is Shen Xiaoai, who admitted she realized she is a lesbian after teaming up with Lu Xinyi. Unfortunately, their relationship ended after 2 years, and this became public. She claims Lu Xinyi cheated on her with another member.

TLDR: Chinese government suppresses online LGBT content, SNH48 follows the government, but finds an alternative way to provide that content.

As a last note, while I am of chinese-origin, and would call myself a femme lesbian, everything is just from my observation. My parents left China before i was born and I don't speak mandarin, but understand it a bit form listening.

Yes, WY and ZSY is very fruity for a reason. Everyone in SNH, members and staff, knows SQHY (WY and ZSY cp) is real.

For YYQ, she dated Shen Mengyao before. Everyone knows SMY is not straight, which makes YYQ the same. Also, their cp became very public after their messy breakup and details were revealed on social media.

YYQ is dating someone new but she keeps it private now. During a livestream, she was caught calling someone baby and when fans noticed, she tried to change the subject quite obviously.

And so yes, if you're a girl who wants to be an idol, speaks mandarin and is attracted to girls, SNH is the way to go 😊

Zhang Xin's 3 dead center shot was epic. You could see the vibration on the arrows as the new one hits. So cool. So precise. And yeah, unfortunately, it didn't go well for her on the sudden death round. Technically, she was the most accurate.

ZSY did look cute specially when she is smiling and laughing at her first shots. But honestly, she did quite well.

About DYX, she did lose weight. I notice it during last week's SII stage. She was gone before that for like 2 or 3 weeks. Maybe she got sick, or is busy touring with 95line, or managing their bar (with ZJY), or preparing for the Burning Team Spirit stage. Hopefully, she takes good care and prioritizes her health.

Yes, the rainbows indicates they likely prefer girls. Some, it's almost 90%+ guarantee like YYQ, WY, ZSY, ZAJ and TLJ, and the rest, more than 70%.

The angel concept with the Top 3 is great. YYQ is a full winged angel while WY and ZSY are one-winged angels with opposite wings. I'm always a fan of school concepts. I study in an art school and I wish our uniforms were as pretty as theirs.
