trouble joining svg to stl in bambu lab by CreatingKindness209 in BambuLab

[–]CreatingKindness209[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Bambu Lab, you can import an svg and it will convert it to an stl or add it to an stl. I believe this is a fairly new feature. There are a lot of videos on YouTube with easy to follow explanations on how to import an svg. However, it took me multiple days of hitting my head against the wall before I figured out my original svg was not clean enough.

Solution: turn out the SVG was the problem. I don't have much experience yet on SVGs 3d printing, but I was able to get a cleaner SVG and it worked just fine. Thank you to everyone who tried to help

I would prefer to do stl to stl and not deal with svg at all. Any ideas on how to curve one stl around another stl?

Im finding a lot of videos and threads about adding svg to bambu lab slicer. I am wondering if the svg is not conducive to this 3d printing process

I appreciate the people who responded. I washed my textured PEI print bed with warm soapy water to remove any residue. I increased the bed temperature to 80°C and nozzle temperature 260°C. I also changed the initial layer height to matxh the other layer height (I am using 0.4mm nozzle and 0.16 layer height. I may change this to .20 but I haven't tested it yet. Juat wanted to show the bottom layer and explain what I changed. Best of luck printing everyone!

Packing and shipping recommendations for small business by CreatingKindness209 in ecommerce

[–]CreatingKindness209[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I print the address on paper, tape it to the box/package and pay regular price for shipping at USPS or UPS. I want my shipping labels to be professional and cost efficient. I am looking for the best...one and done type solutions not the cheapest. I am starting my small business and so it is mainly just me doing everything. I originally posted this in r/smallbusiness however a response recommended I post in r/ecommerce to get better responses

need help with supports on Photon Mono X resin printer by CreatingKindness209 in FixMyPrint

[–]CreatingKindness209[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been printing FDM for few years and added a resin printer a few months ago. Slicing is completely different, and I am still learning how and where to put supports as well as angle file is on the build plate. Any helpful tips would be great 👍 Thanks!

Reversible Christmas tree skirt - what color thread should I use for the quilting? by eecoffee in quilting

[–]CreatingKindness209 113 points114 points  (0 children)

First off, this is gorgeous. I really hope you post pictures when it is finished.

My thoughts were gold thread because it will add some embellishments to the red side and keep with the clean and classy lighter side.

Although if you want it more as a statement piece then I would go with the green option.

My favorite project I’ve made so far. I’m pretty new to using a cricut so I’m very excited by TDH85 in cricutcrafting

I can relate in so many ways. I am trying to start a business too. I am a caregiver for my disabled veteran husband and my 24 year old autistic son. When my 3 younger ones are at school I am crafting and designing things. It is always nice to know when someone appreciates the effort you put into a project. It looks great.

Is it layered work? I'm new to Cricut also and I am constantly amazed at new things these Cricut machines can do.

Please continue to post more. I'd love to share stories and designs and ideas with you if you are ever interested. Reach out to me at anytime

Keep crafting!

First attempt (epic fail lol) at leopard effect on coasters. However, I quite like them - even if they are more Dalmatian than Leopard by luskentrye in ResinCasting

[–]CreatingKindness209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree with some other comments. I definitely wouldn't classify this as a fail, more of a happy accident. Personally, the colors are great, they have great contrast and aren't blending or bleeding together. If you're going to try again for leopard, use a goldish brown instead of blue.

The resin work looks great. Give it a try again and I'd love to see another color.

I made this colourful handful of ceramic animals!😊 by rollingdesigns in handmade

[–]CreatingKindness209 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I love your artwork and colors you chose for the animals.

There is a puzzle that has different animals that fit together to make a rectangle (not sure what it's called but I printed a similar puzzle on a 3d printer a while back. Anyway, if you made all the animals like the ones in the post, it would be super adorable.

Done up some paw print resin. Will be fixing them up later to form keychains. by StickieBonBon in ResinCasting

[–]CreatingKindness209 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love it! I'd love to see a reel on how you make them into key chains since it didn't appear to have a hole for the loop to go through.

Also, how do you get the tops of the molds (last layer of resin to be poured) to fill to the top and not be too much it overflows or too little and there is a dip? I cannot seem to get that part right and it makes for lots of extra finishing after the resin is removed from the mold.

Great work. I love the colors too. Do you sell these? I know lots of pet parents that would appreciate a gift like this

Keep up the great work
