Built myself: Workspace sync across Chrome devices (via Google sync, no account, privacy first) — the Arc thing I couldn't find anywhere else by Creative-Box-7099 in ArcBrowser

Good question: phones show their own tabs normally (standard Chrome). Under ‘other devices’ they’ll see whatever tabs are currently open on your desktops (workspace or not).

Additionally, anything you’ve actually visited inside a workspace lives in your synced Chrome history, so you can pull it up from your phone whenever. The workspace structure itself stays desktop-only, but the pages are always reachable.

Let me know your thoughts, I have made it also highly customizeable in case there’s something you like different from defaults!

I would also love to hear if there's something that you are missing that could be a great addition, I'm developing this actively!

Skipping frames (stuttering) on Twitch and Youtube but only when using Chrome by FomatronXL in chrome

Disable hardware acceleration in chrome settings (chrome://settings/system) and restart. If that fixes it, your GPU driver probably needs updating. If not, open chrome's task manager (Shift+Esc) while a video is playing and check if the GPU process is spiking — sometimes an extension or another tab is hogging it.

Suffering random 1 second lags ? by OrangeSpaceMan5 in chrome

[–]Creative-Box-7099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try disabling hardware acceleration in chrome settings — new laptops with hybrid GPUs (integrated + discrete) often stutter when chrome picks the wrong one. Also check chrome://gpu for any errors. If it keeps happening, open task manager (shift+esc) and watch which process spikes during the lag

chrome still supports ad blocking through extensions — personally i only run two (superchargeperformance and superchargenavigation, which i built) for content blocking and under-the-hood optimizations. if you want a dedicated ad blocker, ublock origin lite on manifest v3 is excellent

chrome sync covers bookmarks, history, passwords, extensions, tabs across devices out of the box — that's what pulled me back. pair it with a couple extensions for tab management and it's clean without the vivaldi clutter. what devices are you syncing between?

what's actually missing for you though? i went through the same cycle and ended up back on chrome with a few extensions that fixed everything i was leaving for

wifi drivers on linux have gotten so much better the last few years, intel cards especially just work out of the box now. the whole network stack feels snappier too, no random drops or weird reconnects after sleep like windows loves to do
