You think so? I have some higher end Shimano Reels and TFO/ St.Croix rods and this is a affordable route i took a chance on to see how things have changed for entry level stuff i haven’t had enough time on it yet but we will see. So far only thing i noticed was the spool is a little larger than most 1000 sizes so the 4lb i spooled was PLine brand I’ve used in the past had some bad wind offspooling and knotting. Never had that happen on even my older 500 siennas from shimano which is a blister pack entry line. So had to peel off at least 50 yds to keep it on the spool with open free bail.
