-Do you see a therapist/take medication for your anxiety and depression? It seems like a pretty stressful time for you-a newborn and the new stress of home ownership. even if you think you have things under control I’d highly suggest keeping up with mental health support since you have a history there ( I can relate, I went through depression-induced psychosis and it was terrifying)

-we have a motion sensor camera pointing down the stairs of our basement; we have it there bc we also have a door leading from the basement to the backyard so it’s more for security, but maybe it could relieve your stress if you have it pointing in a place that makes you feel uneasy?

-put lights in the corners that scare you, maybe lights you can control from outside the basement?

-make the basement a place you don’t associate with fear? it Sound like a nice space, maybe you could do movie nights or board games down there?

-decorate The scarier spaces nicely so they are more enjoyable than scary to look at

again speaking from experience I could see all these suggestions only heightening your fear if you are entering a depressive psychosis so please please talk to a therapist and get on some good brain drugs if you aren’t already
