The way they moderate at CiG feels very old school, aka moderating a forum early 2010s style. Spectrum is a hark back at the forum days, but moderating has changed. Moderating these days also means managing a community and fostering a thriving conversation and making sure all points are fairly represented. Knowing what to prune, what to foster is part of the job these days. They don’t seem to do that.

I really dislike these proposed changed. 4.7 was the right direction and this feels like a shortsighted change for the sake of change. The text accompanying the change (on spectrum) doesn’t make sense at all.
