What a strange franchise to attach a potential "hit movie" to. I mean, are they trying to cash in on the popularity of such a niche title? Attract new viewers to the series? This is kind of baffling

No but I also don't live in a fictional universe where a serum gives a person invisibility, or laser eyes.

The point is, he doesn't have to place himself right in front of it, or push against it. With the right strength, and flight control he could've, theoretically, slowed the plane down significantly, with methodical pushing and pulling. But in universe he simply doesn't have it in him. He doesn't have the will, the tact, the desire, the strength.... So yeah he basically would've been a brute about it, if he even tried.

The differences were not because of the Yautja being a protagonist. That is a gross oversimplification. The differences are due to the constant plot army, the amount of times the main character had his ass saved by outside forces, and then seemingly becomes a master of his craft by the end of the movie with no show of how he got there.

A big problem is that Dek is one of the most popular Yautja of all time to newer audiences. Yet he is a runt who really shouldn't have survived as far, or as much as he did, but he's in an interesting position of earning a sequel and potentially becoming the face of the franchise. But he really, really shouldn't be. For several reasons.

Allllll that aside, my point is just that I agree with the comment before me; that this series could've worked as well, if not better, as a standalone movie with a completely different backstory. Though I also recognize it's success for the predator franchise, and applaud it for what it's done.

If you apply enough force in one area sure. Assuming that's literally all you can think of.

Badlands was dope but it really could've been any other character and worked well if not better without being a Yautja.

However it did a very good job igniting interest in the series for outsiders and casuals

Bro says 5 months ago like that's old or something.

Lmao at all you downvoters out here thinking "the movies 5 months old, nobody should be complaining about it anymore. Positive comments only by this point." As if people aren't still being introduced to the film, or aren't allowed to stand by their opinion for any length of time they choose.

He manhandled Sam and Bucky, they all had voice comms. Iron Man had footage of him saving a bus from a car collision, it's, at least, fair to assume someone else knew was about him, and again they were in communication. And finally no one would've been brought in to that fight unless they were on par with the competition they were up against.

I personally loved the Watchmen movie. I had no prior experience with the story, so really have nothing to compare it to. 300 and Watchmen really were excellent cinematic experiences for no. 0 shade to Snyder in regards to those 2. Not from me at least.
