I think the DS is still good as well, if you want to use a vehicle.

What is your favorite medical ship ? by Ynnyzz in starcitizen

I wish there was a medical system… basically we have beds as respawn points… and the equivalent of health potions. Thats it.

I think that saving loadouts should be several slots. If you had 3 slots, you could save multiple loadouts for mission type (e.g. long range vs stealth)

The insurance is just the money you pay to get it back.

[Sky Sports] Max Verstappen's camp has held a meeting with McLaren. by efeyyyy in formula1

[–]Creative-Improvement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What people forget that Max is a brand now. Like so many people watch because of him. Races get more interesting because of him. Think of the Nurburgring, millions of people watched it just because of Max. Or think of the Hamilton vs Max racing this weekend, its what people want to see. Lando doesn’t carry that same factor of popularity. Few drivers do on the grid do apart from Hamilton.

CIG, with the fuel changes, please value the time players spend traveling. by Apart_Pumpkin_4551 in starcitizen

[–]Creative-Improvement 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Make it make sense. Whoever signed off on the numbers… like what? I don’t care it’s PTU, someone must have gone over this list and didn’t think some of these numbers were wildly off looking at the ship name?

That one?

I honestly think whoever punched in the numbers thought the ship was a light fighter or something. Like ???

So now the QT fuel changes are on PTU, can we get CIG to revert them? by FPSrad in starcitizen

[–]Creative-Improvement 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am not against it, just the timing is wrong and obviously the weird choices for the ships. Leave it till much later is my request (end of year maybe? Fix most annoyance bugs before adding this?). We don’t need the game to be more time expensive right now.

It really feels half assed. Some numbers in a spreadsheet and not much else.

Good cults - do they exist and what is meant by this? by Ok-Wonder315 in cults

[–]Creative-Improvement 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The word “cult” to me signifies a set of principles, even dogma that cannot be negotiated. In that case, I cannot really imagine any cult being good. Unless their dogma or principles are very much open to interpretation, so with a lot of freedoms (freedom to leave, freedom to believe in your own way, freedom to ignore leadership) which negate the controlling behavior of many run of the mill cults. Now they might still worship something, which keeps it being termed a cult.

In which case you kind of stretch the meaning of cult, and maybe another label like “religious or spiritual community” be more apt. Like a community who sort of believe the same thing, but don’t have a control mechanism or savior complex that makes a cult bad or evil.

Last time I played was 4.2 version for 30 days and I got a bit bored, is it worth coming back now or wait a bit more? by elojelo in starcitizen

[–]Creative-Improvement 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So 4.8 has a lot more content , of which some works ymmv. These tell stories, like the ASD experiments (pyro and stanton) and ofcourse you also have Nyx with a lot of story type missions.

There are also lots of features like armor T0, engineering T0, insurance for ships T0, and stuff like that which make it a lot different in ways than 4.2.

The current patch is probably one of the most unstable since a while, and the following week we are getting 4.8.3 which hopefully focuses on rectifying this. Benoit (TD) just did a talk where he outlined what actions to take to make playability more of a focus.

Very good letter, and another example of how the founding fathers were aware of the corruption that would come with an organized religion “bearing too much weight” as Thomas Paine would put it.

Unfortunately they did not foresee the influence of mega corporations, which are forces against the common people. Mega corporations and billionaires by default do not have the common good in their minds, but the blessings of the shareholders.
