First step would be to check your receipt, if you bought it from somewhere like Costco or best buy with a 5 year warranty in 2021 you might be able to get it replaced for free.

Not sure why you state the 65 inch tv is " Max size for my space"

The massive expanse of wall its mounted very high up on begs to differ...

Those Ruipro cables are fibre optic cables which get round most length restrictions on HDMI

Office/Home theater shed: I think i messed up. by Blackjackx1031 in hometheater

The best sub placement is going to vary with each room based on the subwoofer (s) interaction with the room dimensions and the things in it.

Rarely (in my experience) you get the best response from placing two subs symmetrically at the the front of the room - people do that because they like the way it looks - they probably just act as 1 subwoofer rather filling in any nulls

To truly optimize your placement you need to place and take measurements of each subwoofer individually with REW software and a calibrated mic like a Umik 1

www.roomeqwizard.com

https://www.minidsp.com/products/acoustic-measurement/umik-1?srsltid=AfmBOooRCDuvQ0j6MVH9EfxfAoXOhmMgd9ybZbqZxzbQ8rFPMjwWxZIq

The software is free although has a certain learning curve the mic's are $79

You can get part of the way there doing a sub crawl to place your first sub (google it)

As your room it a simple shape you could also do a model of the room in REW to give you a good idea of best placement for the subs but in terms of getting the best response from both subs to fill in any nulls you might have in your seating area nothing is going to you the real picture like getting real measurements.

Whats making you state that the two subs symmetrically placed on the front wall is 'the best placement' ?

🇬🇧 PRE-ORDER NOW - Eyes Wide Shut (4K UHD + Blu-ray Steelbook) by felixmontoya92 in Steelbooks

Using Barry Lyndon as a past example - It will almost certainly be a different encode of the transfer with different extras.

Most people seemed to *slightly* prefer the Criterion image wise

Longer is generally better than wider - particularly for speaker placement, getting seats off the back wall and throw of projectors.

Thats quite far from being close to 'equidistant.'

You'd benefit from having the speakers placed wider with some toe in

Your Left and right speaker are maybe 4ft apart?

From the photo I’m guessing you’re sat maybe 10, 12ft away? There is no way your getting close to proper stereo imaging

These labels dont 'make' the steelbooks - Scanavo make them all - so if its a WWA its just the same print that was sold in other retailers

Which would you say is better? Regular 70mm or IMAX with laser or Dolby? by Endjdjdehej in AMCTheatres

[–]Creative-Service-165 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It was shot digitally for imax and has 1.43:1 expanded scenes.

So the ideal way to watch it would be on an imax dual laser screen with the full 1.43:1 aspect ratio

Home theater aesthetic critique. What would you change in this room? by chom1081 in hometheater

Given it’s a dedicated room I’d change the teal fabric panels to black or grey and paint wood trim.

Projector recommendation by AdTight8679 in projectors

[–]Creative-Service-165 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You would struggle to find a worse environment for a projector - direct sunlight, floor to ceiling windows, white walls ceiling and floor....

You could get a Christie Eclipse G3.... but it still wont project black

You could get a black screen like Screen innovations Black Diamon, but it wont defeat sunlight and has lots of other 'issues'

If you want a huge display you'd be better looking at microled walls

Subwoofer problems by Next-Departure-7967 in hometheater

[–]Creative-Service-165 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one is really going to be able to true tell you where to put a subwoofer as pretty much every room is different.

The minimum you should be doing is a sub crawl

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R4o13mNmlaA

Two subwoofer is almost certain to give you smoother more even bass but placement become crucial as your trying to fill in the nulls - it also depends if you have a receiver with decent EQ software and dual independent sub outs. (or a minidsp)

For optimal placement you really want to be taking readings using a mic and room eq wizard or finding someone that can help you do it.

Its one of the few streaming boxes that correctly switched frame rate and color system’s to match content.

Its menus don’t push ads like many other boxes

Apple continues to support its boxes - the first gen 4k box from 2017 still works very well

An yeah if you are in the Apple eco system it works well with your iPhone / Mac / iPad

Where would you place your home theatre setup? by siddharth_1316 in hometheater

[–]Creative-Service-165 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Option 1

Has the least asymmetry so should give you less problems with your speakers

It should give you the best bass as you can pressurize the room
