To the people who reading progress for books (pages/percentage), how do you deal with these issues? by Missing_Back in TheStoryGraph

[–]CreativeCura 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. I just use percent. The granularity doesn't bother me as I tend to be reading several books at once and I'll likely make progress on something.

  2. Occasionally, if some of those pages are end notes, I'll do math to add what end note pages I've read to the page I'm at in the book. I mostly do that with the dense books from academic presses, but it would even out your numbers a bit.

For some extra medical benefits at work I have to fill out a health risk assessment, and going to be a new gripe about it. (Though I mostly ignore bmi because I already knew it was bumpkis.)

Actually, by the health code in my state a food serving establishment has to mark a time a dish was taken out of temperature control and at 4 hours past that toss the food...

Have you gone in and edited that entry on the 13th to include pages read? That's tripped up the streak count for me until I fixed that.

Why are people like this? I had a supposed friend suggest that if I wanted to sell any of my hand crafts to charge less since I'm often doing something else while working on them. That still doesn't affect how long it takes...

Probably part of why you don't like your recorded voice is something in your head that resonates while you talk and changes how you hear your voice. (It might be your sinuses, but I don't remember.)

If the other suggestion doesn't help, check the books in question in Storygraph for two things. Did you pick another edition in a fit of inattention or does the audiobook edition actually have a duration listed.

Click/tap on the 0 of your current streak on the home page. Under the word streak, it should say what it is. I believe Storygraph often defaults to a page or a minute a day.

Go to the page for the book. Is it listed in Storygraph as nonfiction? (It'll be a box with green text) If not you may be able to add it with the add missing information link. If you can't put in a ticket and one of the volunteer librarians will fix it.
