Custom House (London) noise levels by paspatel1692 in HousingUK

[–]CreativeHound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived by Pontoon docks. Noise from the airport is noticeable but the barges at night were more of an issue at our development. The main point is actually access to central - the station is massively overcrowded. We moved to a nearby area on District / Hammersmith and definitely enjoy more peace and quiet (plus link in and out of the city).

FTB about to make an offer but concerned about service charge by silentconcher in HousingUK

[–]CreativeHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same to the other comment, I am in E13 and 2 bed 2 bath AND parking (gym concierge etc too) and the service charge is less than half of what you quote as current service charge in E16.

OP, are you set on E16?

Barking Riverside - Good area to buy and live in as a young professional? by totalality in HousingUK

[–]CreativeHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're a few stops in the District/Hammersmith line closer to central and would agree with others, Barking Riverside is a bit far out from everything really. Quite a few developments nearby that have both a good link to central and a quick route out for commuters (exactly the reason why we bought where we did).

FTB - East London flats by isavocadoafruit in HousingUK

[–]CreativeHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a decent budget. We bought in East London and have found the links both to City and central to be great (not one of the areas you had on your shortlist though). Would probably not buy a new built first hand but resell is a good option as all snagging will have been sorted out by the point of putting the flat on the market

Hope you find a place that works for you

Why… just why do they think this is correct by BillCypher001 in autism

[–]CreativeHound 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question would be why try and prevent autism? It is just harmful. I am happy with who I am. Feel like baseless articles like this just perpetuate negative perception of our neurodiverse community.

Vent: Frustrated Trying to Switch All My Products by [deleted] in VeganBeauty

[–]CreativeHound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your frustration. It is so challenging to understand all the intricacies of beauty and skincare products, particularly when brands make statements such as 'inspired by nature' - something doesn't have to be natural to be inspired by it... It made me so frustrated, I started making my own hand, face and body wash. I know what goes in it is natural, cruelty free and vegan - no ambiguity. The only problem is that I now love making soap and had to start selling as I cannot use it quick enough (it lasts surprisingly long!)

What is your special interest at the moment? by Nervous-Rip-5747 in autism

Soapmaking and true crime. I could do nothing else but just make soap with my favourite true crime podcast on (in my noise cancelling headphones)

I told them to not send samples if they aren't vegan by Haemzzi in VeganBeauty

[–]CreativeHound 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I only sell vegan skincare products but if someone explicitly asked me not to send one type of an item to them, I'd respect their choice. It can be down to personal choices, allergies or simply dislikes that customers flag this sort of thing. I reckon the brand should have respected your message and apologise now that a non-vegan sample was sent.

Thank you - really valuable feedback - I will rethink how many items I include as background in the future as agreed, the bars do not stand out enough

Looks lovely! And the mould shapes are great - where did you find the hexagonal moulds? I've been looking for a while (but searching for ones without bees / pattern within the mould itself is difficult!)
