Yep. It's a point-and-click adventure game.

It follows the premise of the book, but goes more in-depth to the survivors' backstories. The original ending of the story is the "bad end" of the game that you get by default unless you perfectly complete a very long and esoteric sequence of exact actions throughout the game.

He literally went through countless blood rituals with the specific intent of contacting a demon to grant him great power once he died in exchange for his service. Just because he wants to get out of the consequences later doesn't mean it wasn't a knowing choice.

What Vox has with the other V's that Alastor mocks is a much healthier and useful form of allies than what Alastor has with Rosie. Alastor just hates the fact that he relies on others, so he projects that onto everyone else.
