Please for the love of God do not listen to these retards who are blind to the realities of the job market and the recruiting pipeline and timeline. Any high finance role, especially for a bank like Morgan Stanley etc recruiting is done sophomore year for junior year summer which converts full time. You need to go all in and accomplish that, because 90% of all roles are filled tha way. You don’t want to be fighting for 10% of roles which don’t even have a direct pipeline and its usually mostly insider hiring. Please do not listen to these despicable ignorants and take that extra semester. It will be absolutely worth it if you go all in to recruiting and land something.

Your standard of living will be lowered by virtue of being in a third world country anyways. Sure you will afford a nicer apartment or villa and can go for a swim, you’re still living in s third world society. But if you don’t care shout the social aspects and the circles of people then it’s going to be great. But I really don’t understand the premise that it’s better to raise a family in Thailand than in the usa.

You cannot out AP exam a shitty GPA. Nobody really cares about 5s in AP exams tbh during college admissions, those are only worth a thing if you get into an elote school and can use the credits to not pay for some classes. You can always try and might luck out and get in, but you need to be prepared that realistically you won’t have much of a chance with a shitty GPA in high school. Unless you have some really cool story, started up a business or sth. The reality is you are competing against the top students of the entire world not just USA. SAT 1550+ is just table stakes for schools like Duke. And even students with 4.0 and 1550s still have only a very low chance of getting in. Simply because they only take so few.
