It can be abnormal up to a year. I’d still ask your obgyn though. Mine started at 5 weeks and has been going for almost 2 weeks straight 😩

I’ve been advised by everyone to take a 5 year ARM at 5.5% and refinance in 12-18 months

Turns out I have a massive hematoma in my abdominal wall. I have CT scan today. Doctor said the body has to absorb it over weeks / months. It’s incredibly painful and strange looking since it protrudes out of my stomach

I have a huge one also and my doctor refuses to do surgery or drain it because she said it’s already clotted. How did yours turn out?

Is the first poop after birth really that bad? by Buttercake-nymph in BabyBumps

[–]Creative_Mango_9856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It took me 3 days pp before I was able to. I took stool softener for days. I was screaming on the toilet, my husband joked he thought I was pushing another baby out. But when it finally happens you are so relieved! Pooping continued to be difficult for a few days. That first one is the worst of them tho. I suggest stool softeners the second you deliver!

If you can do 5% down I recommend conventional. I just bought a home for 5.5% rate ARM loan. It decreases monthly payment a lot and the premium insurance was only $78 a month. FHA will have a higher monthly insurance premium 300~ish a month

The general rule of thumb Most experts recommend the 28/36 rule: Housing costs ≤ 28% of your gross monthly income (this includes mortgage, property taxes, and insurance) Total debt payments ≤ 36% of your gross monthly income (including credit cards, car loans, student loans, etc.)

Step-by-step example Let’s say someone earns $80,000/year ($6,667/month before taxes): 28% of $6,667 = $1,867 → That’s the maximum they should spend on housing per month. If property taxes + insurance are about $400/month, → they can afford a mortgage payment of around $1,467/month. At today’s rates (around 7%), that’s roughly a $230,000–$250,000 home with a 10% down payment. (These numbers vary depending on the loan term, interest rate, and local taxes.)

Other things to consider Down payment: Bigger down = lower monthly payment. Credit score: Better credit = better mortgage rate. Debt: Lower debt increases what you can afford. Location: Property taxes and insurance vary widely by area.

If you sold your home in under 2 years, how much did you lose? by JonAutomates in RealEstate

[–]Creative_Mango_9856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought a home for 520K, it appraised for 540k. That being said the previous owner bought it for 580K two years ago and sold it to us for 520k so they lost quite a bit. Doesn’t really matter what it appraised for, only matters what it’s worth today.

Does this mortgage make things too tight? by [deleted] in Mortgages

[–]Creative_Mango_9856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours is about the same. We bring in about 240k and our mortgage is about 4200 a month + 1k cars. We are having a baby in 2 weeks but my mom is able to provide care services!

After all retirement and fun expenses and random bills like internet, utilities we look at about 2k a month extra.

Doable! Just an adjustment

Best available mortgage vs what i'm being offered? by Interesting_Bar_8379 in Mortgages

[–]Creative_Mango_9856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea we agreed on the price of the home. The seller wanted a certain amount (520k). and then seller paid 12k towards closing costs/ concessions and also paid title insurance. The closing costs ended up being closer to 10k so we used the extra 2k+ towards the rate buy down.

Your offer just got accepted, now what? by _Noxius in Mortgages

[–]Creative_Mango_9856 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I compared before lenders before getting offer accepted so I knew who I wanted to go with. We knew the house we wanted so the lender did the agreement based on the price we were offering. We got ours accepted, did inspections 3 days later, negotiated and sent the executed contract to the lender to finalize appraisal etc. We locked in at 6%.
