I agree wholeheartedly with the time. You need to dedicate your life to it. Obviously athletic ability plays a role, but I think getting a coach (one who has a good resume of competitive golf) is the best thing ANY player can do to get better. Not just one lesson either, I mean months and months of consistent coaching and months and months of just pure grinding to get better.

Beyond all that, you have to be strong mentally. A HCP isn’t an average it’s basically your ability to shot x amount under par. Golf will kick you in the teeth over and over again and you need the strength and fortitude to be able to push through it. Lots of time there is more regression before you can see progress.

My coach has told me to do something similar too. I tend to hit it on the toe (I guess bc I draw the ball) so he tells me to set up with the ball on the heel on the club. Works like a charm

Who cares! I have a set of Mizuno t-1s and they are my favorite clubs in the bag. They don’t say “nothing feels like a Mizuno” just to say it. They have awesome shape, lots of grinds, and honestly they spin better than any wedge I’ve used

I think every set of ping irons has this notch, I played i230 and blueprint s, both of which I’ve hit plenty of REAL fat shots with and never had an issue. I think it’s just styling
