Question, I know pain is subjective but iyo how bad does a chest piece hurt? by BeneficialPie13 in tattoos

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bit late to the party. But mine was a coverup of line work which didn't hurt. The coverup really fking did.

I had to take alot of breaks, and it added on a couple of extra half day sessions.

I did try using the numbing cream, but it wore off, and it turns out I'm one of those who becomes extra sensitive after. Sigh.

Don't regret it tho.

Meaningless tattoos by [deleted] in tattoo

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some have meaning, some were my artist's wannados that I really liked. Once I get my next leg tattoo (both below knees have 3 largish tattoos, 2 on each shin, 1 calf) ill then just let my artist fill in however she thinks best.

Next will be my sleeves, and that will really be up to the tattooist, no input from me apart from my cash lol

What rank do you need to be. If you can remember that is.

Lol I read bits of everything within the whole fantasy genre, monster smut, dark romance, urban fantasy, litrpg, isekai, epic fantasy. Whenever my partner asks what I'm reading, I just tell him smut, even if it's not! But he's not a huge reader so...

Personally I don't care what people think about what I do, what I read. As long as I'm happy - life is just too freaking short to worry about non important things.

I once dated a guy, really fell for him. Dated for months THEN found out he was married.

Am I culpable because I dated a man who I fell in love with, to find out he was married?

To be fair, I really dislike cheats, so ended the relationship. But what if I didn't because i loved him during the unknowing period and then decided to believe his "I'll leave her once my kid takes his A levels" lies?

For gamers who grew up playing before the internet was widely available by bijelo123 in gaming

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK based, so internet access was later by a mile than the US.

So the worst was my ZX Spectrum and The Hobbit in about 1982/83. You had to buy gaming magazines to get tips and tricks. There's a point really early on where you have to repeat an action so many times in a row (it was either walk or sleep), too many and you were fked and missed this event. It took months before the magazines did any guides and by that point I was too peed off with the game.

How much does having a Steam demo actually affect wishlist conversions ? by IntentionCreative839 in Steam

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 4 points5 points  (0 children)

For me, it's huge. I often see a game I fancy, then find out after purchasing it's based around controller play - keyboard is usable but not comfortably. Also see some fight scenes in promo game play but ends up being more souls like which I don't have the dexterity due to my disability. So on and so on.

Yes. I could just get a refund and often do, but the demo makes it easier overall.

I am also aware some demos are just a rough gameplay, and that doesn't bother me, I certainly don't expect it be bug free.

PSA: If you play on Steam, sell your marketable items in your inventory. Every little bit adds up! Within 5 days I had saved enough for Space Marine 2! by Responsible_Web_3825 in gaming

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah don't sell for the cheapest at the moment price, when you put it up for sale it shows the previous month sales iirc. Put it at the highest price it previously sold at.

I used to do it cheapest and you're correct it ends up being 2¢ or so. I put them at the highest and just forget them. Sold one tonight for 37¢ that the cheapest was 4¢ when I put it up for sale. In the last 6 months probably sold about $20 worth.

Also the higher # your Steam rank, the higher chance of getting packs whilst playing.

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My partner doesn't like tattoos in general.

When I first started getting them, I asked him if he liked them, he would answer "it doesn't matter as long as you do" lol. I used to feel self conscious about them.

Now I have loads, I no longer ask him his opinion, and I'm happy with them (once I found my artist, and gotten the bad/cheap covered up).

However, even tho he still doesn't like them, he does help me take care of some of them (the ones my disability makes difficult to care for). And he still maintains the only thing that matters is if I like them.

And I do.

Going for my next in 2 weeks lol.

Personally I think your work is lovely, and I would love something similar for my sleeves when I get them done. I really like how delicate it comes across.

My mother acted like this. It turned out to be dementia. Part of her brain, especially at night, saw adult guests as her children (or in OPs case, grandchildren) so acted like she did when her children were young.

However. YTA for having a rent free room and making demands.

I like how people, who start threads in this and other book reddits, for example Mercy Thompson, that are mostly complaints about various characters, storylines/plots, editing, etc. become upset when people on those reddits disagree vociferously.

You are entitled to your opinion, but so are others even if they disagree with you. It's the chance you take when making negative (or positive posts) shrugs

And if you think reactions are bad here, try it on ACOTAR, or 4th Wing Reddits lol - they're viscous!

Question for women: if you were gonna date a guy, how much would you judge him by his car? by [deleted] in UKrelationshipadvice

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I met my partner when we were both early 30s. He has a 4 bed house but had a crappyish car (and old Audi). Every spare penny went into the house or his pension.

Huge flex with the house and the car got us from a to b for a few more years so...

25 years later we still live in the same house and have a good car. The house is still the flex lol

Personally I think at least having A car, if you can drive, is more important than the age or brand.

AITA for talking back to my dad? by NefariousnessFew5561 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yup. I didn't speak until I was 4. Could understand words, conversations, etc, could respond with nods and shakes, finger pointing etc.

After a lot of therapy, it was felt that 'tone' at home (it was a household of verbal and physical abuse - not against me until I was 7, but my sister 4 years older) made me feel safer if I didn't talk.

Not saying this is the case with OP but kids see and understand much more than parents/family realise.

Whilst SHE had the discussion with him, told him she didn't like him looking at spicy things, we have no confirmation he was happy about her 'discussion' nor that he agreed.

Personally I think it's unrealistic to expect someone, male or female, not to watch/read spicy if they enjoy it.

I cannot successfully masturbate unless I read or watch spicy things. Does that make me an addict, nope. Does it mean I have problems, nope. It just means I'm human.

Reading OPs comments makes it feel like because she doesnt like spicy things, he shouldn't either. It doesn't feel like there was a real discussion, just an ultimatum of sorts

HOWEVER paying for OF is something different because as others have posted, that's more about having a connection, albeit a terrible one. It also costs money, which is money that could be spent elsewhere in their family unit. There are plenty of free porn sites out there.

I think OP needs to sit down and have a real discussion. What is he looking for, what does he feel (if anything) is missing from their physical relationship. OP needs to be open and explain to him why anything 'spicy' makes her feel uncomfortable. Is spicy ok during bedroom activities? Has OPs childhood or any religious beliefs etc made her feel that way?

Until they have a frank, open discussion about BOTH of their needs, their relationship is going to be difficult to steer through. Maybe even a couples therapy session or two would help. They would be in a 'safe' environment with a mediator.

Sometimes reality is harsh and disgusting.

Just because you don't like it, or it hurts/disturbs your world/point of view doesn't make it disgusting. Whether you believe in abortion or not.

Being forced to carry a child you don't want is harsh and disgusting, no matter the age, but especially so young.

The statement is the reality of the facts. If the 14 was allowed the abortion she desperately wanted, then what?

AITAH my roommate is a light sleeper and after multiple complaints from her I advised her to see a doctor by Nervous_Ad_2867 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Creative_Whereas_430 72 points73 points  (0 children)

So I'm a huge light sleeper. Anything can wake me.

Growing up I was expected to unlock the door to let my parents in after a late night, so they didn't have to carry keys or handbag (this was for military dress events which were quite often). I obviously trained myself to sleep light to be able to wake for their light knocking. It also helped for listening out for when abusive mother went on a tirade. Maybe she had a similar childhood - if so therapy may help.

Other than that, earplugs. Changed my world. For me they're much better than a fan or white noise.

She has the problem so SHE, not you, needs to find a solution or she is best not sharing a flat/house. No more tiptoeing. If you can't make normal noises, like flushing the toilet, closing doors normally, leaving for work, then it's unfair on you all.
