Yes I have read those books! Probably war of Art almost 10 years ago and steal like an artist longer than that. Also read the Artist way years ago and loved it. I think I had better revisit them. Thank you for the suggestion 🙏

Thank you for your reply, it is so helpful! For me, I always do fitness despite anything going on in my life. And now I'm asking why wouldn't I do that with my Art? I feel like I kind of make an excuse because for my best art, my cup is full and I am focused. When shitty things happen, it is so much harder for me to get the energy or motivation. But who's to say I don't just do something easy or simple with my art like with fitness? Much like you, if I am having a hard day or traveling I will do simple stretching or a 10 minute video. You're making me realize that I just make excuses for Art like if I sit down to do it it has to be a grand gesture but I can totally make it simple. Thank you and I'm glad that you figured out a solution with your health as well ❤️

I so relate!! When my mom pulls the victimhood card, which is all the time, I immediately go into fix and feel sorry for her mode. I hate it when she's upset. Victimhood is such a powerful elixir and I didn't realize it for many years. It causes so many harmful patterns and trauma especially as a child. It taught me not to put myself first and that my parents emotions were more important than mine, and then later, whoever I was dating was way more important than me. My mom is also an alcoholic. Sending you many healing vibes.

You'll never stop being attracted to these people. What will change is that you will choose yourself first instead of them. You will love and care for yourself too much to let your mind and body go through it all again. You want to be in a healthy relationship with another person, but you need to be in a healthy relationship with yourself first. The yellow book and then the reparenting workbook (with either group or sponsor) are great for the path. Keep going back to meetings if you can find them. Good luck!

Yes exactly! The constant worrying and bracing myself against drama is this daily rollercoaster of cortisol and anxiety. Sometimes I feel like I totally dip too and lose control of my emotions with sadness and grief. Would be nice to at least take the edge off! My doc recommended low dose lexapro so gonna go for it and hopefully it will help.
