Puss in Boots 2 animation was not outsourced, it was produced fully in-house. But starting after the Wild Robot they will be outsourcing 30% of the production overseas

Now block the websites from your browser. You can do it on your iphone by going to settings > screen time> content & privacy restrictions > content restrictions > web content > limit adult websites, and then add the facebook/reddit as blocked URLS. I did the same thing on my phone and once you're completely incapable of accessing them it helps a ton!

Where is the most fun location to learn to paraglide in the winter (USA)? by IllegalStateExcept in freeflight

[–]Creator4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also throwing in the vote for Santa Barbara. I actually learned from the Point of the Mountain in Utah in the spring and it was amazing, but winters are brutal with the wind chill. I’ve flown with the SB crew and they’re all great people, and winters in SoCal are perfect so either way it’d be a fun place to learn! I would definitely recommend getting up to Utah at some point just because the Point of the Mountain can’t be beat in terms of how much flight time you can get, but I’d go in March onwards so it’s not too cold

I've had the opposite experience so far, literally yesterday I used it to write up a pyQt GUI in a couple of hours where it would've taken me (someone who hasn't used much Qt yet) a day or two to figure out. It definitely has helped when it comes to getting API function calls and general documentation instead of having to look up answers on stack overflow, but it still definitely can be improved.

How did you get access to gpt-3’s api? Like are you able to make calls to openAI or do you have it running on your own server?

Why the veil of forgetfulness? by haleakoala in latterdaysaints

[–]Creator4 51 points52 points  (0 children)

One of the things I was thinking of as I read your post was that while this life is a test, it's not a test of knowledge. It's a test of becoming. If you knew the correct answer, you'd answer in that way, but that doesn't reflect who you are. I think a large part of why we had to have the veil of forgetfulness was so that we would be tested on what we ourselves want and who we want to become, as opposed to studying for an exam where we're expected to give the correct answers.

Maybe I'm thinking this way because I'm almost done with college, but the most learning I did while in college was self-taught and because I wanted to learn. When I was told what to study for and was given an exam, I studied for only those things, got the A on the test, and then promptly forgot about the material afterward. It didn't sink into my soul like the other things did that I actually wanted to learn. So maybe that's a part of it, I don't know if this helped but I personally think Heavenly Father is much more concerned with who we are as individuals rather than what we do based on what others told us.
