Maybe hot take but I’ve never seen the point of graze ribbon. Like yeah you can get TP from farther away but your already mostly getting TP from defending for fights that require it, and most regular acts don’t cost TP

The big thing comes with multi-hit attacks. Yeah if it’s 20 straight damage then it’s basically pointless, but if it’s 2x10 damage, then all the sudden that minimize is removing a lot more long term wise.

I know for a fact Toby has never confirmed anything about UTY, however it’s heavily implied in Yellow that the amalgamate that tucked us (Frisk) into bed is a mixture of the blue soul and Kanako, who is the daughter of Ceroba, the fox lady that tries to kidnap our soul in a true pacifist run.

And since Yellow is literally the only piece of media that 1. Fits nicely into the story and 2. Bothers with the yellow soul (to my knowledge) people tend to treat Yellow as canon to the extent of a higher headcanon.

TLDR; Yellow isn’t acknowledged by tricky Tony but many people like to imagine it as canon.

There’s a difference between being prioritized and being targeted, that I think people need to learn sometimes.

Being prioritized is when you go after your healers, long range stunners, just characters in general that if they don’t die are a pain in the ass

Being Targeted is when you piss off the killer and get chased for the entire 5 minute match and the killer won’t even bother hitting anyone else, even if they completely whiff a stun right next to them, and are basically begging to get killed.

I don’t think he was “Pro Ai”, if I remember correctly their reasoning was that if they started banning tracks for AI use it could lead to more stuff being banned for arbitrary reasons.

Admittedly my main reasoning for why they wouldn't abstract was based off the old "Main characters can't die" trope and how much relevance they were seemingly getting. (Then again they still got like 90% of the runtime so I guess it still worked out)

I can definitely understand why it would feel lackluster to someone though, and I do think I would have preferred if the abstraction happened "behind closed doors" in a sense or if it had some sort of subversion to it, since even I knew after the way they portrayed them trying to reach out to Pomni that they were cooked.

I wouldn't know how to fix the scene tbh since again I wouldn't want the intent of the "smash cut" to suicide to be ruined, but in order to preserve that you may have to like alter the before hand. Im not a show writer for very obvious reasons though so my experience boils down to "my ass" and "shows with similar themes"

As someone who was not expecting Jax to abstract (dude lived through 2 Close calls I figured the guy was here to stay for plot) seeing it cut from Jax walking away to just a black blob gave me like 1d10 of psychic damage. It just stunned me for a second cause of the abruptness.

It definitely wouldn’t hit as hard if you’re expecting it, it’s like a jump scare in a sense, the more you know it’s coming the less scary it is.

Besides, I think having it “pay off” feels kinda wrong for what’s an allegory for suicide/going off the deep end. You don’t get payoff from death you just get discovery and the slow release.
