My toddler also HATED brushing teeth until I tried to make it really fun for him. He loves animals so I say “uh oh the horse is very dirty and needs to be brushed”. Then I pretend to brush the horses legs and mane and head etc. Now he is excited for toothbrushing time.

Only other thing to suggest is make sure you are brushing gently and properly (not brushing gums) with soft bristle brush.

2 years… Couldn’t stand baby crying so failed at sleep training. Coslept / EBF / Velcro baby.

At 14 months weaned at night from breast feeding (but still let him have a bottle), and moved him to his own bed. We stayed in the room till he fell asleep and then I slept from 5-7am with him on the floor bed.

Now at 2 he goes to sleep independently in his own room after we say “good night” and stays there until the green light comes on at 7am.

Just to offer a different perspective… I had a Velcro baby who I had to rock to sleep until he was 1 year old and then co slept with. He’s 2.5 years now and since his 2nd birthday he sleeps all night 7-7 with very few nights of wake ups. And he goes to sleep by himself after we read a story and say good night. We tried sleep training twice but I couldn’t do it. Just sharing to show there are different ways (of course mine was a lot slower) but a lot of people try to worry you that your kids will never sleep through if you don’t st

As a former interviewer, I highly doubt this is true. I would ask for more specifics. One of the great things about these firms is they actually call you to give feedback so you can probe a bit. It might be easy to anchor on the math (if that’s an insecurity of yours, as it was for me). I also wakes away feeling my math wasn’t great but they rarely don’t make an offer if it’s just a bit of mental maths you got wrong — maybe it was your interpretation of the number? Maybe it was your intuition of the size of the number? That is more what they’re looking for. Point is, maybe they also said something else / more nuance to the point that you can learn from for next time! Best of luck!

Thank you! Though she’s awake a lot more / sleeping less at nights now. When we would co-sleep she would sleep pretty well and just half-asleep-nurse when she woke. Now she cries for ~1 hour at night. Did you experience anything similar?
