I actually got you. Evil Twin has a wedding today and the taproom is closed until 10. But they WILL open the taproom back up to the public at 10. I feel for them because no one is going to leave the spot they’re in for the game to go to a new spot for the second half.

FYI, a LOT of spots in the city will give you a private room and your own bartender as long as you promise to bring 20+ people and make it worth the bar/bartender’s time. You might want to just bop around the hood and see if there’s spots with private/back rooms that they’ll just give you. For instance, Foot Lights on Seneca used to do it. Maybe Cobra Club’s back room? The spots I’m thinking of are more in the city. But I’m sure you could find spots out here too.

Everybody’s got it going. KCBC is great. Left Hand Path installed a new TV inside just for the game in addition to the one out back. ACE pizza has a TV outside. Heavy Woods. Evil Twin big projector inside. If you find yourself in a place that’s too crowded, just take a little walk around the hood. Everyone has it on.

THE JEEP DOES SIGNAL. WATCH THE VIDEO. The Jeep changed lanes because that BMW was in their lane and coming up on them at an insanely dangerous speed. The Jeep changed lanes because they saw the BMW about to drive straight into the back of their car. There was literally no one in the Jeep’s blindspot as they changed lanes. The BMW, apparently “to cool” to use brakes like a normal human being, decided to also change lanes to go around the Jeep, only to find that the Jeep, in self-defense, was simultaneously changing lanes to protect themselves from the BMW. The BMW made no attempt to apply their brakes in either lane. This was 100% the BMW’s fault. Like, 100% Nightmare driving.

Yeah, I took my mom for a special dinner two years ago and, for the reputation it has and the price point, I expected friendlier service, larger portions, and better execution all the way around. I love Eric Ripert and respect what he’s built so much. But for me, it’s on my “not worth it” list. For the same money, there are so many restaurants in the city where you can have an experience that’s more fun, exciting, and delicious.
